Is it really possible to beat Gorro?

Well I chose to buy the Mortal Kombat Deception collectors eddition because I wanted to get the first Mortal Kombat since I already had two and three with the Midway Arcade collection. And here it is ten years later and I still can't get past Gorro at all. Anyone have any tips about how to get past him so I can finally beat the first one(I never beat 1 or 2 bcause Gorro and Kintaro always kicked my butt).

Jump kicks. That's the easiest way to knock them down, alternated with projectile attacks to stall.

In MK4 constant torpedoes/screwdriver kicks did the job well.

Have you tried the spear/uppercut combo for Scorpion? Really cheap but it worked on my SNES version.

And yeah, jump kicks seem to be a programmed achilles heel for the monsters in every MK game, from Goro to Moloch.

I always thought Goro was easy after playing those endurance matches.

I just have it on easy,if you're reffering to MK4 all I do is run right by him and uppercut him over and over until he's dead.
