In under a half hour at 8 p.m. EST a fresh episode of Smallville comes your way on The WB. Last week was Spell (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=126301).

Smallville #4-9 "Bound"
After Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) is accused of killing a young woman, Clark (Tom Welling) sets out to prove his innocence and turns to an unlikely source for help - Lionel (John Glover). Swearing he is a changed man, Lionel offers Clark insight into the crime but he asks for something in return. Meanwhile, Lana (Kristin Kreuk) meets Jason's (Jensen Ackles) parents and has a vivid flashback of the incident in Paris, leading her to suspect that Jason's mother (guest star Jane Seymour) was there when she got her tattoo.

Allison Mack, John Glover, Annette O'Toole and John Schneider also star. Terrence O'Hara directed the episode written by Luke Schelhaas.

Pretty generic episode, not all that interesting either.

I havent been religiously following this season but I was wondering could Jason be or become Demon.
I never really thought of it prior but for some reason when I saw Jane Seymour I thought of it.
Remeber when Lana was possesed he knew right away to burn the book, and didnt seemed that surprised. Maybe he has been around magics before or maybe thsi is just a huge leap.

There were only a couple things worth noting about this one....first, Clark and Chloe nearly kissed, or seemed to (thereby throwing the Chloe lovers a bone :) )....Lana's connection to the witch woman gained another layer of confusion, and it's now confirmed Lionel knows nothing about Clark anymore despite what he experienced. You know, I'd like at least one person to permanently find this out...besides Pete who is gone (and presumably getting a race change operation to become the Pete from the comics)...this is getting tiring.

If you believe the promos for next week, then Lana finds out. But if you still believe WB promos at this point then I have a dancing pig to sell you.

The worst thing about the episode was the dorky face of Samantha the American Girl™ appearing over a pretty dramatic scene. Get out of here!

When she called him Jason and the lightening flashed, her face was stark white while his had a ruddy cast to it. Though him turning out to be Jason Blood would be pretty sweet, I doubt it's gonna happen. This is like the time people speculated on Adam Knight being Bruce Wayne.

Man Lex is such a somethinghole. I couldn't believe how he used those women. I mean I know he's gonna be evil but I was surprised that this has been going on for a few years when he was still supposedly good.

The near Clark and Chloe kiss got a huge grin from me.

As crazy as this sounds I think Lionel HAS reformed. It would be such a huge shocker if Lex was the darkest one in the family now. I KNOW Lex will kill Lionel by the end of the series (not a spoiler, just a feeling) and if Lionel IS a good guy now that would be an indicator of how evil Lex has become.

Not much to say about Lana except that her subplot was as boring as usual. Ironically Jason is a more interesting character and he just joined the series. (Still not sure if I like him though.)

A decent episode that gave me a lot to think about. ****.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw that. I also figured with them already establishing that Clark's powers don't work on magic was a precursor for something bigger down the line.

It could be the writers are messying with us hoping we will jump to these conclusions only to lead us in another direction.

Either way Lana has a way or attracting the werid guys huh?
