Has anyone else seen this?

I saw it a couple weeks ago at a film festival and really liked it. The strangest anime I've ever seen but pretty endearing and pleasantly odd.

There is a pretty weak point in it though where a plot is wedged in at the end. The first two thirds are fun little misadventures in which you wonder slightly if there's a reason for Tamala's actions. At the end a new character is introduced and says exactly what's going on. It's a very interesting plot full of interesting ideas but it's also presented pretty dryly and and in a sometimes confusing manner. Made extra deadly to the rest of the audience as the show was a midnight showing.

Good soundtrack too, from Trees of Life

I read a review that called it Hello Kitty meets David Lynch.

Cute cat girl lives in a universe with other anipomorphic cats and dogs. She wants to take her space ship to Orion but ends up on a random planet instead. She sings at a night club, visits a museum, has a picnic, gets chased by a masochistic dog. It's pretty random and kindy arty.

I'm sure plenty of people would call it utter crap. Others see sparks of brilliance. I'm one of the latter. It's definitely different.
