I see a lot of "Probably won't appeal to the majority" on them ^^ Exactly what I thought.

I usually seem to agree with most of Matt Wilson's opinions, so I guess I'll take his advice and just watch the show anyway, even if it takes a season or two to really reach its potential.

Though I don't like the sound of them having the "sound effect after a joke" route that Hey Arnold and Rugrats have taken so many times. (For some reason I found that part of the review hilarious.)

I acually remember GENERATION O! only because it sucked.

I'll just watch the show in hopes that it turns out well. Usually, a cartoon does turn out good in my eyes, whether it be Atomic Betty or Foster's.

I get some worrying things.

Live action segments, I'll admit the live-action segments are the only funny thing in Super Milk Chan, but so thats because they both showed, uuhhh creepy things, and I thought it funy what their lines were and that people would actually do those things. But this thing show the stars arguing whether it is better to live in Osaka or Tokyo. What the hell? And in Engrish too.
Too many bright colors
To quote msn, their music is like candy, nice in small quantities but bad in large doses.
However they were right when they said the show has a lot of potential.

Plus they’re none too hard on the eyes, although when I say “they,” I mostly mean Yumi. Right on.

They must have a lot in this show. I mean, ads at the mall? Woodbridge? It must be great.

Yay. I don't know, most shows appeal to me for some strange reason. If I don't watch it, I'm good though. But, I want to see this and it looks real good.

I am certain this could be more successful in an area where they are already popular in, but I think that the hyperactive atittude of the show may turn off some people. I'll just have to see for myself on Friday.

The one thing I've learned about Matt Wilson in the half year I've been here at TZ... if he doesn't outright bash the show, then it must be watchable by his standards. Then again, he said the same thing about Lowbrow/Megas XLR before the full series began, and we all know what happened after that.

In my opinion, the 4 TZ reviews didn't change my stance. I'm still in the 'give it a try' bin, as opposed to the 'stay away' bin or 'awesomest show ever even though I haven't seen one episode' bin.

Ah, that review's finally posted.

Yeah, I was the only reviewer who really loved it, and I've got a habit enjoying stuff that's got a bit of camp to it, but hey, some CN's best stuff has had campy elements. It's the handling that sells it and makes an asset, not an impediment.

Personally, I'm not sure whether HHPAY's the kind of show that can improve or exceed it's formula, but I would have said the same thing about PPG based it's initial shorts, but I would have also been proven dead wrong repeatedly by the time the PPG film hit. In other words, maybe HHPAY will blow the doors off it's concept as time goes on.

Either way, I'm watchin on Friday.

Not really related but hare are some HA! examples:

(After Helga's long diatribe on Arnold)
Phoebe: Actually, I was going to ask you which way to the bathroom
(Ding! Followed by some sort of ratchet)

(Phil on his times in the circus)
Phil: ...though I did become the bearded lady
(Cymbal!)

Oooo!! What was that?? It sounds so familiar >.< I can hear some kinda theme music running through my head but remember nothing 0.0It was about this girl and her brother who had their own band. Horrible, horrible show.

As for Puffy, I'm willing to give it a try. It doesn't sound half as bad as I thought when I first heard of it.

Eh, Ami has this cutesy hippy vibe going while Yumi goes for more of a sexy look. Plus she's from Osaka. But to each their own.
