Since it doesn't do the one thing that people here seem to be clamoring for: explain Kyle's absence.

We'll have to wait for part II to know for sure. Maybe he'll be tossed in a group Corp scene ( or killed fighting Manhunters ;) ).

Frankly, I already like Stewart better than Kyle. I wouldn't mind if Kyle had been on that planet John reputedly destroyed.

Yep, as far as JL is concerned he never existed. But I still think that he would make a nifty Parallax in JL.

I was under the impression that they were just going to "ignore" the Kyle Rayner Superman episode for now. For the record they didn't say that they would never use him, and even then they could change their minds (in the Batman TAS Bible they said that they didn't want to use the Batsignal, but they eventually changed their minds and put it back in).

If they want to use him they can, but if they choose not to...hey, he could be stationed anywhere in the universe...

The interesting thing about this discussion is that the original story, "No Man Escapes the Manhunters" and "No World Escapes the Manhunters (Justice League of America #140-141) was neither a John Stewart nor a Kyle Rayner story. It was centered around Hal Jordan as Green Lantern. Ironic, isn't it?

I don't care. I'm just glad to see my favorite story being given its due. It's the first comic book story I was able to read after several bad years living in a household where comics were not allowed. As a twelve-year old experiencing new freedom, it was pure magic. And it is again now that I'm 37!
