Wow. I didn't see any talkback threads for this week's new episode. So, looks like I'm starting one.
Post for 11/12/04
Operations: S.P.R.O.U.T./H.O.U.N.D.
Well, these weren't as good as last weeks IMO, but still pretty good. I wasn't too keen on the gross out humor toward the end of Sprout, but it wasn't done Ad Nausiam thankfully.
Parts I liked:
Wally's baby brother. Big surprise! I was certain he was an only child. Guess only Nigel is an only.
Wally excusing himself from the table.
The "Cat" scan being literally a cat attached to a pingpong paddle.
Wally's blathering when they torpedoed his brain. "E=MC squared!"
Kuki's little, "up your nose" song.
Abby's "Ennie, Meeni, Miney, I'm not goin!"
Other things noticed:
Nigel didn't seem to care what went on in Wally's body as long as they got the sprout. Firing at wally's brain, Letting Abby dangle between the ship and sprout.
Kuki seemed to confess something right before a cut to the group in the stomach. Gee, baiting the 3/4 shippers are we?
Speaking of shipping. There was a 4/5 moment put in there too.
As for Hound. I knew from the moment I saw Valerie's hair she was the were-poodle. Although her puppy was the cutest thing! I had a feeling something was up with miss Tompson when she appeared just when she was needed to save the day, but her being a were-dog was a surprise. And i guessed that wally's homework was going to make Val sick. But then again, all this acurate guessing may be the result of too many college screenwriting courses.
Other observations:
The animation seemed weird for this episode, just watch everyone's eyes. Especailly wally's and abby's.
Hmm, I wonder if the teachers are trying to keep abby from becoming an honor student. Maybe since all the current honor students are in with the adults, letting a KND in would be a security breach.
Which makes us wonder if Miss Tompson actually gave the delightful's detention that time in Robbers. maybe she did, if she was planning on eating that homework.
That's my two cents.
