As we all know, so many people have complained to these companies about the racial stereotypes in these cartoons, causing them to be censored or not shown at all. I personally don't believe that most of these cartoons were meant to be racist. In cartoons, everything is a caricature of something. They are just presumed to be racist by some paranoid people out there. Do you think these shorts were meant to be racist?

No. Pardon my ignorance of many things, but didn't what few black entertainers there were back then act like the stereotype because that was the only way they could get a gig? That way the cartoons would be accurate stereotypical portrayals, not racist. If this post comes on as offensive, it's not. I'm just stating a theory. :)

i agree with both of u. Speaking as a black person myself, i find them hilarious. Also, i've seen racist cartoons before. but they weren't animated they were comic strips and they were deliberate.
