Not for the new comic series, but for a couple of upcoming The Batman coloring books. It was a lot of fun, and much easier than comic book work -- big, pin-up type drawings, minimal backgrounds, etc.

Anyway, if anyone's interested in taking a look at some of my pencilled pages, you can check 'em out here:

Wow, those are pretty nice looking! Looked like they were directly ripped from the shows---and coming from someone who finds the character models the best thing about the show, that's a good thing. :D

Nice drawings! But Batman pulling his suit out from a lamp post though...? Wanna run that by me again? :p

You definately have some really nice details there...like the folding edges of the cape in the first picture....and they really do look an awful lot like the designs I've seen online. Nicely done.

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I've always liked Jeff Matsuda's artwork, and these Batman designs are no exception. I find my own drawing style meshes with Jeff's better than it does with Bruce Timm's. Like I said, I really enjoyed working on this stuff.

As for the hidden costume in the lamp post, it's supposed to show how Bruce has his Bat-gear readily available throughout Gotham -- his vehicles are stashed away in secret tunnels here and there, so it's not unusual for a spare costume to be stuffed into a lamp post.

Is it? :)

Beats wearing your costume under your clothes all the time!

Very nice artwork.
