Just read this issue, and I'm confused as to whether it's canon or not. Batman and company are never actually made aware of the fact that Deadman is still around as a spirit that can possess people (when Batman knew of that in "Dead Reckoning"), plus the ending implies that Deadman passed on as soon as his killer was brought to justice. Not to mention that Rama Kushna didn't take the form that she did in "Dead Reckoning".

I remember Batman bringing up in Dead Reckoning that he thought Boston had past on and with Deadman responding with something along the lines that he thought the same too but clearly he had not. I assume that Rama Kushna can take many forms.

Definitely a reference to this issue...or some other DCU mainstream story from the 40s or whatever. I like to think it's a reference to this issue.

I checked "Dead Reckoning" and the only thing that didn't seem right was Batman knowing that Boston's exile from the afterlife was supposed to end after the killer was caught. I guess he was just speculating (correctly, since Deadman thought the same in this issue), but he said it as though Boston had previously told him that that would be the case.
