I was just wondering if anyone had bought the game yet. It just went gold the end of last week. It is supposed to be very good, but I've heard mixed reviews. Any comments? Reviews?

I don't know, but I'm interested in finding out the answer to that question too. Have you played the first one? Did it have a lot of problems?

I found the first one to be very enjoyable. It did have bugs which, after a few hours of gameplay, got to be very frustrating. Overall, I really liked it, and still play it every now and then.
ST:AII has supposedly improved upon the first edition and fixed some of the playability problems. Also, the graphics have been improved and a usable 3D Z axis has been added (creators call it a deep pizza box).

I LOVED the first one!!! It's very rare Iplay a game to conclusion (WAAAAAY too busy for games, most of the time!), but with Armada, Ienjoyed it so much I stuck with it. I may well buy ST:AII this weekend, so I'll let you know!!!

Thanks Frozen! I'dlove to hear about it. I think I played Armada I all the way through 3 or 4 times, plus all of the instant action games a number of times. If ST:AII is better than the first, it should be incredible. Hopefully it will have better playability.

Damn! Just found out ST:AII isn't out over here in the UK until the end of the month... Bummer. Still, at least I can spend the weekend drawing instead!!!

Well, as I said, ST:AII isn't out over here in the UK yet, but I did buy the fabulous Star Wars Battlegrounds, and spent hours playing it over the weekend - very very enjoyable (especially playing 'Sing-a-long-a-Chewie' on the Wookie levels...)
I also notice it has 'customise your own scenario' option. Boy, are those Gungans ever gonna get wasted now..! :D

I almost bought ST:A2 the other day, but didn't have the $50 for the game. I want it badly, but am not sure my pc will be able to support the game.
