I was just wondering if there was a main company or office that owns all the Cartoon Networks. Because all the international channels for it are so different, it doesn't really look like they have anything in common except the shows they're licensed to play. Surely if CN brings a new series, it would be available at the same time to all the other countries (besides the ones that play in the native language). For example, why doesn't UK CN get the new shows and stuff that US CN gets? If it's all one company then they should. Are the non-US channels just franchises?
Sorry if this doesn't make a lot of sense I just wanted to know.

All of the Cartoon Network stations are own by Turner (Time Warner). Each of the stations has an option as to what to carry, as well as create their own programming. You usually find that CN UK airs most of the US premieres 6 months to a year after they premiere. Its not uncommon, considering they have to run through the legal process for each country its aired in.

Recently, on a lot of channels we've been getting episodes before the US because of the lack of variety of shows in the UK. Ed Edd n Eddy and Sonic X for example.

Yep the situation also works in reverse. Sometimes overseas stations get shows before the US simply because their legal processes are much quicker. Plus the US withholds shows to air at a later date (like a marathon or during a sweeps month).

Whereas here they show stuff at least once a day, thus making it dull much faster. One of CN's biggest blunders in fact was Xiaolin Showdown, as they stampeded through the entire series in less than 2 weeks and then went to repeats for about 5 or 6 months. Nightmare I tell you.
