i'm just wondering on what some people are thinking/expecting of this movie. I went on to superherohype.com and saw some pics of the shooting and all of the characters decked out in costume. the costumes themselves look pretty good - the only thing i'm really not getting is why in the world is Jessica Alba playing Invisible Woman. I dont mean to sound rude or anythin like that..Jessica is a good actress and lord knows she's hot...but isn't Invisible Woman a little older than that? I never remembered Invisible Women being in her mid 20's - I always thought she was atleast 33. They depicted Mr. Fantastic pretty well - but that's just going to make things all the more weirder by having Invisible Women and Mr. Fantastic have some kinda thing. I dont know - thoughts anyone?

I'm not really sure. I guess I'm looking forward to it because there aren't many superhero movies I like. At the moment, the only thing that puts me off is the costume for The Thing, Julian McMahon as Dr. Doom, and Jessica Alba. I think the rest of the cast looks fine, and Michael Chilkis will probably be pretty good as Thing, but Alba looks out of place. Not only, as you pointed, was Sue always older than that in the comics, but I don't like Alba at all to begin with. But I do like that they've keep the costumes similar to the originals.

I'm willing to give it a chance.

Dr.Doom looks like Destro from G.I.Joe.

It can't be any worse than the train wreck that was the Roger Corman FF movie years ago...it just can't...

...can it? :(

Hey, I liked it. Well, in an ultra-cheesy Saturday morning live-action kid's show kinda way. :) I actually think the costume for The Thing in the Corman movie looks better than the pics I've seen of the new one. If it had had a bigger budget and lost that stupid sub-plot with The Jeweler(!?), it would have made a good little direct-to-video flick.

If that was for a G.I. JOE movie, I'd say, "Awesome!!" But that's Dr. Doom!?
