This hasn't been posted yet so I figured that I would go ahead and post the weekends box office results. Whenever Clown Prince wants to start doing it again then just let me know.

It was Halloween weekend and yet again the Grudge remained supreme holding the #1 spot and brining in another $22 million. Sony is already talking about a sequel. Coming in at number 2 was newcome Ray with $20 million dollars good opening and with oscar buzz for fox and good reviews, this should be hanging around for awhile. Opening lower than I expected was what I consider the best horror film of the year so far, Saw with $17 million. Hopefully good word of mouth and positive reviews will keep this around for awhile as it's a great thriller and has one of the best and most surprising endings ever for a film like this. defenantly a good movie. Coming in at 4 with $8 million was Shark Tale and number 5 with $6 million was Shall we Dance. Here's your top ten for this week

1. The Grudge $22,400,000. total gross $71,267,000
2. Ray $20,110,000 New
3. Saw $17,400,000 New
4.Sharks Tale $8,000,000. Total Gross $147,357,000
5. Shall we Dance $6,285,000. Total gross $33,939,000
6. Friday Night Lights $4,131,000. Total Gross $52,990,000
7. Ladder 49 $3,330,000. Total Gross $66,198,000
8. Team America: World Police $3,100,000. Total Gross $27,261,000
9. Surviving Christmas $2,600,000 Total Gross $8,145,000

And Surviving Christmas continues to fall out of the top ten before the Holiday Season even really begins.

R.I.P. Team America. It's a shame no one realizes how hilarious this movie is.

Didn't Birth start this weekend? Wow, it didn't even crack the top ten. Guess too many people were freaked out by Nicole Kidman both bathing AND making out with a ten year old

Next weekend the official Holiday Movie Season begins with:

Disney/Pixar's The Incredbles, which is sure to hit the top spot and make Disney a wad of cash and

Alfie A remake of a romantic comedy starring Jude Law

Surprised the Grudge made it to the top again, especially since I though 'Saw' looked like a better Scary movie (its even new...).

Otherwise everything looks pretty on mark. I saw Team America this past weekend and I can say that it's actually a pretty funny movie (although admittedly I think it makes a better weekend renting then a 'must see' theater movie). Its currently got $27 million, so I'm sure its just a matter of time before it tops its $32 million budget, what with overseas sales (Man...wonder how overseas countries will react to the movie...)and DVD sale.

Next weekend it'll be the Incredibles followed by Alfie. With Halloween over I don't think the horror movies will survive all that long (er...maybe since Chucky's coming out in a few weeks). But from the people I've talked to, Alfie seems to be greatly anticipated and the Incredibles even more.

 I figured that Ray would've been #1 and made much more then that estimate.

I thought that Saw would do a bit better then it did too...

Or maybe because it didn't look that good.

It wasn't released in many theaters, though...

Oh and it was #11.

Next weekend The Incredibles will most likely be #1 I'm not sure about Alfie though.

The Grudge was just plain awesome. This is how all Jp remakes should be made!

I haven't gotten to see Team America yet, and Shaun of the Dead is no longer playing in theaters in my area. :crying:

As for Incredibles next week. Well, what i want to know is, if it is #1, is it because people wanted to see the movie, or did they go for the Star Wars trailer?

yeah, let me know too if robin buddy's not there either.

three letter movies seem to be the rule this week, indeed.. more than at least one of them four letter ones.

It's not that I don't want to, it's because I can't lately. I really love doing it every week. I recently lost my Monday through Friday/weekends off job and now my new one has me working on weekends. Every Sunday is different. :) But next weekend I'll be able to do it.

Thank you Robin2099 for putting it up and starting the discussion.

I was kind of surprised by the high numbers for the top 3. It's a little good news for Hollywood as the last couple of months have not been very kind for like 80% of the movies that have come out.

With The Incredibles opening this coming weekend and The Polar Express the next weekend, man, it's gonna be a battle of the family CGI movies to remember. I'm actually looking forward to this match up to see how it comes out. Pixar is just a powerhouse heavy weight when it comes to CG movies. It owns them. The Polar Express is gonna be an interesting competitor.

Grudge (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=124839) and Saw (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=125382) aren't really my cup of tea, so I had my thoughts on Ray (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=125436) at the box office this week. Next week it's all about The Incredibles.
