Need help with Metroid Prime

Hey everyone

I want to finish this game before Prime 2 launches and I need some help. For some reason I can't seem to get past the Omega Pirate no matter how many times I try(twice today) it's frustrating. Does anybody know of a strategic way to get past the Omega Pirate. Damn its late I'm going to bed now.

The only thing I can really tell you is to have patience and use super missles to make him fall quickley as possible. And if you think he's a handfull wait til you tackle Metrioid Prime.

He is a little turd--but the key thing is to simply ignore the Space Pirates he sends out when he's recharging. Jump around like a crazed mad-woman until you see him with your visor, shoot him with a Power Beam + Super Missile combo, then let him suffer and then go after his little friends. If you try to take the Pirates down first, then you'll loose him while Omega recharges.

Thanks for the tips Luffy & Bird Boy, when the Omega Pirate goes to recharge I do tend to concentrate my efforts on the normal Pirates before going after the recharging Omega. Hopefully I'll have this beat by the end of the weekend. I appreciate your help LATER.

I'd say you need to take care of at least one or two pirates. Remember, Omega Pirate doesn't doesn't immediately appear when the normal pirates appear. If you can take a couple of them out before OP appears, you'll take alot less damage. Metroid Prime wasn't as difficult to me. Once you figure out his patterns, he's not that hard(just takes awhile).

Trying to beat OP on hard is a nightmare(I had to get all the power-ups).
