We've had a thread that was called, "Cartoon Villains you feel sorry for," but now, I'm adding the "You feel sorry for," but this time, it's for the main characters.

Tell me which main characters always get mistreated or pushed around, or something that will make you want to cry.

I kinda feel sorry for Shrek. He finally gets married, and then he has to go through an evil scheme set up by whom you ask? His father-in-law! The ungreatful guy, Shrek makes his daughter happy...

Sonic, for not being the main character in Sonic X, like he should've been

Timmy Turner
Strong Sad and What's Her Face

I agree with Straong Sad and What's Her Face. Some times I just wanna smack Strong Bad in the face. Same with Timmy. Seeing Vicky treat him badly wants me to beat her up.

Um, despite what everybody says, Sonic is STILL the main character. The only difference is, Chris gets alot of air time. I'm kind of glad that chris actually does something usefull, unlike a few -nameless- characters from a couple other shows who all they do is yell out the main characters name when they get hurt.

Who can forget the granddaddy of them all? Charlie Brown is probably one of the most depressing characters ever.

The Brain- He goes through a lot of effort to take over the world, but he never seems to succeed.:brain:

That's about all I can think of at the moment. I'll try to think of some more.

Before anyone else says it, Fry from Futurama (esp. the one with the dog, from what I hear, and the one where Leela divorces him).

Also, Susie, AGU!, and mostly because of her singing talent. She gets conned by a supposed talent agent, and then she's forced to miss a singing audition to take in a linguistics contest. Coming up, Angelica gets to sing in front of the school, by not telling Susie about a singing audition. This one might end with Susie finally getting her big break, but who knows?

But he's also helpful at times, quite a few times. Which makes up for all the yelling on his part. Now when you look at Yugi, Tea just sits there and doesnt do anything usefull. Which is why i dont like her. She's just there to add another character.

Dexter.

Dee-Dee may love her little brother, but she has almost zero respect for him or his accomplishments. Her antics go waaaaaay beyond typical sibling rivalry.

I kinda feel sorry for Danny Fenton from Danny Phantom. He has all those powers and defeats hordes of evil ghosts all the time, but his biggest, almost unconquerable problem is being the #1 target of bullies and a teacher who has no sense of justice or fairness (Watch the episode "Fright Night" for a glaring example of both). Also, as seen in the episode "Splittling Images", Danny can't even take revenge using his powers after the incident with the ghost of Poindexter. Danny's just another victim of the corrupted world of high school.
