New Lost tonight.

Lost "House of the Rising Sun"

From the TV Guide description:

Relocation sparks dissentions among the ranks. One group, spearheaded by Jack, seeks a water-plentiful, inland retreat; another group, led by Karen, opts for rescue on the beach. Also, a culture clash turns violent for Micheal and Jin; a seperate peace bonds both Charlie and Locke (Terry O'Quinn).

Another great episode! :)

I can see why they were torn from choosing where to stay...but was Kate the only one who stayed on the beach?

If so then that's really unrealistic I mean a few other people could've stayed too...

And why didn't anybody but Sayid(spelling?) and I think that rocker musician(forgot his name) break up the fight?

Why couldn't one of the other survivors do it too?

That's cool that Sun speaks English.

I feel bad for her...too bad that she didn't get in that car in her flashback...

It was kinda predictable that the Michael (is that the black dude's name?) would just cut Sun's husband free and not kill him.

I gave this episode 4 stars! :)

Loved this episode! Poor Charlie looks like he's going to go ballistic without his drugs...

Kate, Sayid, among others, stayed on the beach. But I think they'll all regroup in an episode or two, especially if what the preview was hinting at happens (though I still think its too early for it to happen).

I had guessed that Sun knew English.. but a big wow on her backstory. Maybe the island will give her back the Jin she fell in love with? It does seem to be granting everyone's wishes (Locke's legs, Charlie's Guitar).

I liked it until the end. Could have done without the SURVIVOR-like setup. No surprise to me that Sun spoke English. I had assumed from the beginning that would be a "surprise" at some point. (But, what? Did her husband work for the Korean mafia or something?) The article in the TV Guide says that somebody could go by the end of the season, so I hope it's Charlie. He's really about the only character on the show I don't like. Just really annoying. Nice to see Kate in her bra tonight, though. Being on a paradise island, surprised we haven't seen her in a bikini yet. :D

I don't think it's going to be Charlie. Unless he gets a huge status boost among the group, he's not important enough. For it to be shocking AND prove no one is safe (and I hate to say it), they'll have to kill off Jack, Kate, Sayid, Sawyer, or Locke. But I want them all to live, so it makes me sad. :crying:

Is it just me or ate the talkbacks really light tonight? Was anyone watching TV at all?

Well, I finally decided to jump on the wagon and see a Lost episode, taping Smallville for the hour next. I spent the next hour bored out of my hat....who cares about some Japanese woman?? Where is the fight for survival? Maybe 24 and Smallville have spoiled me..and speaking of that, I had a heck of a better time watching the Smallville episode.

I'll give Lost a few more chances, but things have gotta pick up. Today, everyone just stood around, with the exception of the psycho African-American.

Speaking of Kate in her bra, it's been over a week but still no armpit hair. I guess she's been shaving with a knife like Locke.

That beehive creeped me out.

If I hadn't accidently read a spoiler I would have been surprised that Sun could speak English. I WAS surprised Jin was into organized crime. I feel so bad for Sun. Now she's stuck with him forever or at least till the end of the series.

Anyone else think Jin was mad at Micheal because he found out he had seen Sun topless a few episodes back?

I wouldn't have moved to the cave, at least not yet. A week is too soon to give up hope of a rescue.

Good episode. ****.

I can't understand why they all don't go to the caves? And then just have shifts of people stay at the beach to maintain the fire and keep lookout.

On a side note. I had read that the Doc was originally supposed to have died after a few episodes. But, I assume during the filming of the first few episodes. They grew to like his character and the actor and decided to keep him.

That's a good idea, about rotating shifts. If it starts turning into two warring tribes, I'm tuning out.

Jack was supposed to die in the pilot, to throw the audience for a loop at having the hero die in the first episode. But after Matthew Fox auditioned, the producers really liked him and decided to have Jack live. This week's TV Guide (and I think last week's as well) and some little stories on LOST with such tidbits.
