View Full Version : Heroes that you'd like to see show up in JL...
Although, I haven't read the comics, only watched the animated series, there are a couple heroes that I know of that I'd love to see appear in "Justice League," maybe season 2. Personally, I'd love to see cameos or special team ups with:
Captain Marvel
Firestorm
The Wonder Twins
Green Arrow
Black Canary
Young Justice
Nightwing
Hawkman
Okay, many of you are probably wondering why I mentioned The Wonder Twins. I'd actually LOVE to see Timm & co. update them and give them new looks, powers, etc. Make them kick some serious butt. I have watched quite a few episodes of "Superfriends" when it appeared on Cartoon Network and I think it would pay homage to "Superfriends" by having them appear.
I'd like Young Justice to appear in maybe a two part episode, maybe showing the founding of the group. Captain Marvel and Green Arrow need to show up. They're just too cool not to. I'd ask for the JSA to appear, but since it's been confirmed that they won't (at least for now), I didn't include them.
I'd like to see Nightwing show up. Maybe the arc he'd appear in would be a "Batman" centered one. I actually think it would be pretty neat if down the road, the events of "ROTJ" are explored. Batman would leave the league temporarily and Nightwing would try to convince him to stay or something like that.
Also down the road, it would be very cool if heroes come and go. In previous superhero team series, like "X-Men" for an example, they keep the same team intact throughout the show's run. I think it would be cool to shake things up every once in awhile and have some members leave and new ones come in.
Thoughts? Opinions?

I also want to see heroes come and go. As for who I want to show up....
Young Justice! These guys are awesome. Some would say that they have no place in JL. If you've read any comics other than YJ, they are the ones everyone picks on. But go pick up an issue of YJ, you'll see these kids definitely prove their worth.
Plastic Man! He and the Flash would be awesome together.
Captain Marvel! Duh.
Steel! Lotta untapped potential, "Heavy Metal" did not do this character much justice.
Zauriel! I'm a huge fan of the angel. I think JLA #6-7 would make an awesome show. They'd have to do a good deal of cutting down to make it less intense, but it'd still turn out well.
Red Tornado! Androids rule, and he and J'onn have a cool relationship.
The Titans! Not the Teen Titans, but the current Titans team to some extent.
The Atom! I wanna see that little floating chair around the JL table! I wanna see the Atom ride on Flash's shoulder!

vince and I discussed this in the chatroom...that would be great if Nightwing came and rescued the league from trouble or something.

Yeah, Nightwing definitely should show up on "Justice League" for at least one arc.

he'd get along great with Flash, they've both got similar personalities. I'm sure a Nightwing/Flash team up would be intresting to watch.

Galactus, Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer, the 1970s Avengers, Spider-Man, The Tick, Cerebus, Spawn, 1940s Phantom Lady, Dragon Lady from "Terry and the Pirates," All-Star Squadron...
Yep. Those are who I WANT to see.

The Flash (Wally West) and Nightwing are best friends in the comics. Nightwing better make an appearance. He was never in Batman Beyond and I miss him :).

I'd love to see Dr. Fate or The Spectre. And RHA'S AL GHUL!!!

I'm waiting to get a tape of the premiere that was recorded for me by a guy I know on-line, but I'd like to see Nightwing make an appearance.
And while it might be sort of a stretch, I'd love to see The Shadow do a guest stint. He's one of my favorite crime-fighters, and he could help the JL kick some serious butt. :)

Actually, that got me thinking. People always complain about how lame Zan's power (to turn into watery things) is. Granted, it's not useful in battle, but it would make Zan an unbeatable intelligence operative. That could be very useful, you know, even in a war situation like "Secret Origins."

Howdy all,
Here's who I want to see in the new show eventually, organized into topics:
1. "The Magic Show" with Dr. Fate, Zatana, and Etrigan the Demon. If you're willing to add heroes who haven't been animated yet, add in Doctor Occult, the Phantom Stranger, John Constantine (I can imagine a pretty funny conversation between him and Batman about not actually having any powers to speak of), and the Spectre. Maybe even Swamp Thing.
2. "The Estrogen Special," with Supergirl and Batgirl teaming with Wonder Woman and Hawkgirl. Some weird virus affects that extra "Y" chromosome, and the women have to team up and stop it.
3. "The Thanagar Show" with Katar Hol/Hawkman. Hawkman shows up on Earth in pursuit of a Thanagarian criminal and finds Hawkgirl on Earth. Given her backstory, he thinks she was dead, and she thinks he's the loser cop he was when she knew him (I'm thinking the antagonistic relationship they had in John Ostrander's _Hawkworld_ series, which sadly didn't have much else going for it.)
4. Plastic Man, the Atom, and Steel as reserve members.

Black Lightning
Dr. Fate
The Question
Nightshade
Plastic Man
Captain Marvel
The Atom
Green Arrow
Black Canary
Nightwing
Starman
The [Teen] Titans
Maybe a Wonder Twins appearance (like that Bat-Mite appearance in Deep Freeze--funny, but brief).

The Atom, definitely. Adam Strange, and the Legion of Superheroes.
Villians I'd like to see:
Crime Syndicate

I'd like to see the initial seven get more fully developed before we start adding other heroes to the mix. I think Timm should leave the hero guest slots for the second season after we find out more about these seven giants of the DCU.

I'd definitely like to see Nightwing at some point. Also Batgirl, Robin, Supergirl, Plastic Man, Aquaman, Dr. Fate, and last, but not least, Captain Marvel.
Batman 80

I would like to see Hawkman and ofcourse Aquaman. But I want the the current roster to stay the same for the whole series. In my opinion, thats what makes a team oriented show last longer. It worked with the X-men show on Fox. This ofcourse all just my opinion.

I need to see some of the 80's team members (JLA & JLE)! Fire, Ice, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, GUY GARDENER, Power Girl, Maxima, Rocket Red, Elongated Man, Doctor Light, etc!

Yes, it is!
I'd like to see the Teen Titans
The Inferior Five would also make for a fun episode!
Captain Marvel
Nightwing
Firestorm
Blue Beetle
The Question
Captain Atom
The Zoo Crew (we can't have ALL serious episodes, can we??)
Starfire
the Suicide Squad
Swamp Thing
Maxie Zeus (I am sure I can at least get ONE second on that one!)
Blue Devil
Doom Patrol
Green Arrow
Gorilla City and Gorilla Grood (ok, ok, not "heroes" but I still want to see them on the show! Maybe Timm could do his version of JLApe!)
Hourman
Legion of Superheroes
Legion of Superpets
Animal Man
Batgirl

Hey guys lay off ol' Ralph dibny, if you had an real concept of t his character you would relize that Elongated Man is something he would naturally come up with. And he could probably give old bats a run for his money in detective skills anyday. But if I had to chose him or Plastic Man, I would go with my old buddy Eel O'Brien, just because he's my favorite DC Character.
Also I would like:
Green Arrow
Atom
Young Justice (Superboy, Robin, Impulse)
I'll think of more stuff later.
Vampire Grrl

People I would like to see in the show would be:
-Wonder Girl
-Nightwing (both former teammates of Wally West)
-Batgirl (although Oracle would be _very_ interesting since she is often behind the scenes in the JLA comics)
At the Comic Con this summer, Bruce Timm revealed character designs for the villains. If I remember correctly they included Cheetah, Solomon Grundy, Lex Luthor, the Shade and Ultra-Humanite (inside the body of a gorilla).

I'd love to see Green Arrow and Black Canary. Maybe the League could visit Star City!
They could encounter the Atom in Ivytown, too.
Basically, a case could be made for hero encounters as the League travels to several cities around the DC Universe.

Heya! Here's my list :
Captain Marvel- A must-have DC icon
Green Arrow- Another must-have DC icon
Black Canary- My all time favorite heroine! I was kinda
disappointed when she didn't make the cut :)
Chronos- A Way cool Hero/Villain! too hard to turn down
Sandman (Morpheus)- A lot potential so Why not?
Damage- Yeah, I know he was denied as a JLA member, but the
Kid's got something there, Know what I mean?
Young Justice- Impulse all the way, Baby!
Doom Patrol- Since we're on the subject on teams....
Starman- Jack Knight should be in His Father's Starman suit,
That would rule!
Chase- Another neutral character but she would be interesting if
she appeared on the series as well as create intriguing
results.
Resurection Man- I read about him and I think he's too cool a
character to ignore! A definate must!
Deadman- Does he have some kind of connection with
Resurection Man? Well, anyway he's pretty interesting.
Lobo- I think this guy did quite well in the Superman series, It'd
be nice to see him back in action.
Zatanna- I never saw the Batman episode where she was
featured but hearing someone cast a spell by speaking
backwards would be priceless :)
Pastic Man- Ok Rayner isn't there to complete the comedy duo
(Green Lantern/Flash). But Plasticman would be a
better choice :)
Well, I think That's all I can think of. I'm really starting to get into the DC universe and JL is one of the reasons ;)

Unfortunately, fishnet stockings are a complete bear to animate, since it's rather painstaking to ensure that the nets animate smoothly from frame to frame in hand-drawn animation. This was the reason why Zatanna is in hose/tights in her _Batman_ episode. Maybe we need some intrepid programmer to come up with a way to add computer-generated fishnet stockings for accurate comic costumes in the DC animated shows =8^).
If I remember correctly, Zatanna was also portrayed as just a skilled stage magician in the BTAS episode, and not as the backwards-speaking witch powerhouse that she is in the "regular" DCU. I thought it would have been nice to see her in that TNBA episode with Etrigan, personally.

But check out the ROTJ uncut version. When Batman and Batgirl are questioning people about Robin's whereabouts, one of the women being asked bears a remarkably strong resemblance to the Blonde Bombshell. It could be done!

How about a crossover with Spiderman. He could say something like "Why do these people have to join teams all the time?"

No Spiderman please! The movie looks horrible and he doesn't deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence with names like Wonder Woman, Superman or Batman.
