Oh it was real, all right. The Plucky Duck Show aired in fall '92 on Fox, as sort of a forerunner to when Fox began airing TTA. It was basically a clip show each week from previous TTA episodes (except for The Return of Batduck, its only original episode, which is now part of the TTA syndication package). BTW, here's a list of the episodes and what they contained, courtesy of http://www.toonzone.net/shows/episodes/pluckyduck.html :

The Plucky Duck Show was a short-lived spin-off of Tiny Toon Adventures. It had only had one original episode (# 01), which later became TTA episode # 101. All other episodes of The Plucky Duck Show were either Plucky-related episodes of TTA or re-packaged TTA shorts. Thanks to Gerard for this complete list of episodes, which Fox apparently aired out of order.

A Quack in the Quarks I probably saw maybe half of these in their initial airing. I distinctly remember watching episode 2 at the Wisconsin Dells on vacation. :p

Wish I coulda seen that. I always seemed to like Plucky's episodes more than anyone else's (and his music videos weren't half bad either - "Particle Man" and "Yakkety Yak" were both hilariously, randomly zany).

What would've been cool is if they would've made new wraparounds inbetween the segments, a la most any TTA episode. Unfortunately, no dice.

I've heard about "The Plucky Duck Show", but unfortunately I never did get to see it:sweat: I was only 2 when it first premeired. Too Bad. I LOVE TTA, and I'm almost sure that I've seen "Return Of The Batduck" air as a re-run as part of TTA.

Even the LooneyToonyWarnerRooneyPinkyBrainy Big Cartoony Show had wrap ups. Course they were annoying show hosts that ate up important cartoon time...

...anyway, the first season of P&TB had old A! episodes in them. Some whole, others mixed in with new stuff.

The last season of TTA was kinda a blow. What cartoons they had, were great!
But out of the 25, 1 was Return of Batduck, 4 was the how I spent my summer vacation chopped up into bits, which aired in 1993, when the rest of season 3 was 92. Not to mention most fans had seen the movie many times before these episodes aired. The other one was the spring break special, which I have NEVER seen, as it didnt air on most Fox stations. And as for Night Ghoulery, a 1995 TTA cartoon? Im not going to consider that a part of season 3.

Cool, thanks for the info. I thought it was an all out spin off with "new" cartoons but it was strange becuase i couldnt find any info on it.
Too bad i never got a chance to see The Return of Batduck, stupid Nick
Oh and about Night Ghoulery, since it was created after the show ended, did Charlie Alder, er i think thats his name return as the voice of Buster? or was it the other guy?

UmmYeahOk

No, John Kassir did the voice. And though he did Buster in other episodes, he sounds nothing like Buster in this movie. For being an hour long, Buster only appears in one short. Since him and Plucky are acting like old silver screen characters (Abbot and Costello, I believe) his voice isnt suppost to sound like him anyway, but the into and ending song (the only other places he appears) he doesnt sound like Buster at all.

Two characters sound different as well, though I believe the actors were still the real deal. Babs sounds just like Dot, rather than sounding more like Gadget on Chip n Dales RR. And Elmyra sounds more just like Susie in Rugrats, than her own character. I guess after doing voices for several other shows, its hard to go back to a 1990 voice when its 1995.

I probably saw maybe half of these in their initial airing. I distinctly remember watching episode 2 at the Wisconsin Dells on vacation. :p Ah, yes -- episode #2. That one was made up entirely of 3rd-season TTA material that hadn't aired yet. So it was an all-new episode to those of us watching at the time.:D

"Minister Golf", featuring Baby Plucky, also made its debut on Plucky's show about 3 weeks later. After that, nothing but reruns.

BTW, the last four or so Plucky Duck shows aired with "Tiny Toons" opening titles. Fox even advertised these shows as TTA. Poor Plucky..

When I learned that Pinky and the Brain were getting their own show, I feared it would meet the same fate at Plucky's, especially after they started mixing old A! shorts in with the new ones. I'm sure glad I was wrong!

Hmm, whatever caused Charlie to leave as Busters voice? :(

Basically, every cast member from Tiny Toons except Charlie Adler and Joe Alaskey were guarenteed roles on Animaniacs. That, and the fact that Adler was getting less money than Tress MacNeille as Babs, upset him to no end. He was either fired or quit (forget which) when he ranted about this unfair treatment to the head honchos. And they quickly searched for a replacement- and in enters John Kassir.

EVERY cast member? Danny Cooksey was never a voice in A!.

He moved on to "Salute Your Shorts" on Nickelodeon, didn't he? Or was he already on that show when he started doing Max's voice?

As far as "every" goes, I believe he meant to say "most." But yes, Danny Cooksey was on Salute Your Shorts, not A!. He was also in the following other cartoons: Little Mermaid TAS, 101 Dalmations TAS, Pepper Ann, Static Shock, Invader ZIM and Dave the Barbarian, along with many others.

But they did get Cooksey to voice Max one last time in "Night Ghoulery", right?

I know Max is in it, but I'm not sure if it's Cooksey doing the voice.

Adler & Alaskey were probably also upset with the fact that people like Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche, who did minor recurring characters on Tiny Toons (or, in the case of Dizzy, didn't have many actual lines but a lot of Taz-like grunting), got major parts while they were offered nothing.

.....Hey, Joe Alaskey is a member of Toon Zone- someone should direct him to this thread and have him say this thoughts on the matter! ;)

From http://kumo.swcp.com/synth/tta-faq.html

TPDS also enjoyed its own theme song and opening, which you can see on "The Return of Batduck" (which now airs as a regular TTA episode). (FYI, bits of this episode ("The Return of Batduck") have been edited out in order to squeeze in the regular TTA opening.)

Is it the real Joe Alaskey who is on Toonzone? If so thats awsome

Speedy Boris

Yep, it's really him. He doesn't come on very often, being as busy as he is, but he usually answers questions about Duck Dodgers and stuff. I asked him what his favorite TTA episode to voice for was, and he said "Night Ghoulery" because of all the accents he did. ;)

Ah, the Plucky Duck Show.... I remember watching this in senior year of high school, and it entertained me---for all of the three episodes or so it was on. ;-)

Particularly liked the oh-so-original theme song...

To my very surprise I accidently stumbled upon it on the web, warning, it's a bit loud so turn down the volume http://www.mbizgroup.com/file/DF.aspx/plucky.wav?isGallery=true&share=true&shareID=31532&fileID=171162&sesID=lec2vj55z1liyy55tlhuro55 enjoy :) I really dont remember it, either i never saw the 3 episodes or i forgot about it. Pretty funny stuff though.
Heres some other thing like it, something about christmas, christmas special maybe? i dunno http://www.mbizgroup.com/file/DF.aspx/plucky2.mp3?isGallery=true&share=true&shareID=31534&fileID=171166&sesID=iomb3155eazg4z55rdx0ow55

In the Acme Acres without Buster, Plucky is the main star of Tiny Toons, with him using the show to showcase his huge ego.

Darn, i wish i had known TTA was running on Nick when it started. I only got 15 episodes down before it was cancelled yet again. Wish i had nicktoons  I only remember bits n peices of TTA. Oh TTA DVD where art thou?
