Which one do you like better? Injun Trouble or its 1945 remake Wagon Heels?
Though Wagon Heels has its moments, Injun Trouble is original and many of the gags are more funnier.

I've always liked "Wagon Heels" better. The cartoon has funnier gags, and I liked how Injun Joe looked more serious in this one, rather than looking like a goon in "Injun Trouble".

I've never seen "Injun Trouble" outside of clips, but what I have seen didn't make me laugh as much as "Wagon Heels". "Wagon Heels" is hilarious, and I think, in this case, color makes a big difference.

The last time I saw Injun Trouble was nearly 20 years ago, and that was the redrawn version. I've never seen the original B&W version, so I guess I like Wagon Heels better. :D

Tough to say...like John Doe, I don't think I've ever seen "Injun" other than in redrawn form...

I take Thad's referring to Fleischer's goons...there is/was a disturbing similarity...

For me, there are enough differences between the two cartoons
to like them about the same. Besides Joe's drastically different
designs a few other differences are worth noting:
Injun Trouble: When Joe fires the explosive from his mouth
the design of the shell is wide with black stripes streaming
down from the cone the the base of the explosive. It makes
a loud screetching sound as it heads for the wagon train.
Wagon Heels: Same scene: but this time the explosive
has a more streamlined appearance, no stripes, and makes
a sound like a jet fighter.
I T : When the pioneer with the live coonskin cap is shooting
at Joe, the raccoon is using a little tommy gun(machine gun)\
WH: Same scene, but this time the raccon has a slingshot
The two bulls(?) that use a machine gun on a stand after
the wagonmaster fires his "spitgun" in Injun Trouble
are gone in Wagon Heels
And we're all pretty much familiar with the cataclysmic ending
in Wagon Heels; with Joe literally creating the United States
of America as he plummets to his demise. Injun Trouble
has a much "softer ending" with the indian falling into
a hollow stump and the tickling continues.
Hope this helps answer your question

They both have their individual strengths. I love the dialogue in both in particular. Like in Wagon Heels every time they mention Injun Joe by name it's followed by "WOO WOO!" :D
But I personally prefer Injun trouble because of the last line: "Do-Um some more?" :D :D

I also like them both, but I like "Wagon Heels" better.
"Come here, I'll tell ya.... it's a... it's .... A SEEEEEC-RET!!! A secret 'bout Injun Joe!"

Ditto for little moi... I like "Wagon Heels" better. Buuuuut I have to wonder about how Clampett felt about Friz remaking several of HIS early cartoons (since it occured before Clampett quit**)... I strongly suspect that these several toons were remade with Clampett's blessing (not just Schlesinger's).
** Except "Dough For The Do-Do"
I really hope you guys who have never seen the true version of Injun Trouble are watching LNB&W right now!
