Ghost Rider a possible cartoon? I don't think so...

I'm still going through my old Incredible Hulk cartoon tapes and I come across the episode featuring Ghost Rider. This episode was supposed to be a potential launchpad for a spin-off starring the Spirit of Vengeance. Is it me or is there no way an animated series starring Ghost Rider would work on a Saturday morning block?

I'm not a fan of Ghost Rider in the slightest, I've never read his comics, don't know his origin etc.

But, this was the 90's. I'm sure if the interest was there, we would've seen Ghost Rider. It's similar to Wolverine and Grey Hulk, they couldn't be exactly like thier comic book counterparts, but thier 'spirit' was there.

For all the complaining people do about Wolverine's censorship, I actually liked the TAS version. The idea of Wolverine needlessly killing everyone never appealed to me.

The situation is much like one with Hellboy - they can't make a Saturday morning cartoon with him because the basics involve things that (according to some) kids should not see. Soccer moms and countryside reverends gonna start twitching if the kids see that "devils are cool".

No way! They could, but I'd be so made that they don't touch Cap or DD and do a character that freaks me out! I would never stand for it (yet a Blade is coming out :rolleyes: ).

I would support it, but it would be best for cable.. alas, the last time something like that had a chance on regular TV would have been the mid 70's at best.. if done now, it would have to be a totally tame version, commercialized beyond recognizance..

it would not be a deal with mephisto that curses him... it would be just the bike with no explanation..
