You know the one.
"I was going to buy some jawbreakers, but the Eds were pulling a scam in front of the candy store. Up next, Ed Edd N Eddy" or something like that.
Does anyone know if there's any times (besides Adult Swim) when that brat isn't doing the stupid end-credit voiceovers? It really cheesed me off when she did it over the Evil Con Carne credits, while things were still happening.

Heh, I can't stand that chick either. Stupid CN, *mutters* :zim:

Why do you care so much?

No VO durring Toonami or Miguzi.
Gundam SEED is gonna suffer this fate as well now that it will be unblocked... Bah... It airs with EVERYTHING on Toonami anyway. (well all we'll ever get on US CN).

I actually think its kinda funny, and like it. Don't see why it would annoiy you or why you really care to begin with.

I am not fond of her either. I was really annoyed with her in the begining but ow it's whatever. I try and ignore her.

I think she sounds 12.
Also, what Conekiller said.
And I don't care about the V/O girl. Helps build that whole "cartoon city" concept though.

We still don't know if it's Tara Strong, or Grey Deisle, or Jennifer Hale, or some guys mom do we?
Anyway, I don't mind the voice so much. And CN has had a voice over the credits for shows for years now (this woman's just the latest).

And you can't forget Fridays. They totally suck with subsidising show credits. I just wish they could cut VOs. Leave them for ads. And those big bug things, ie. The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, tonight at 7. Jeez. It's not like one huge bug is going to get someone to watch a show.
Cartoon Network really knows how to tick someone off. I had no idea I'd been missing parts of the Evil Con Carne endings because of them.

No VO during Static last night (Monday) And as someone said, it does help with the cartoon city feel.

I concur. I don't mind her at all.

They do that with Foster's too. It's a really smart move, so people will watch the repeats with the endings.:D

I think I might have an idea of who it is.
I watched a clip of an interview with Tara Strong, and she sounds an awful lot like the person doing the voice during the credits.
So there is a very good chance that I might be correct.

I believe the actress has been named before (only first name) in a previous thread. But that was unofficial...
I remembered other shows they don't use the voice in. Megas XLR, Justice League Unlimited, and Teen Titans (I think) outside of Toonami still don't have the VO I believe. Yet Cyborg 009 and .hack//DUSK do... hopefully they wont use the VO durring Gundam SEED.
Honestly I REALLY hope they fix Gundam SEED's endings so that it transitions into the ED and then shows the preview for the next episode. But they probably wont do that.

You're saying you'd rather have Doug Preis? That's like the Israelites begging to Moses to take them back to Egypt.

You know, now that you mention it, the male announcer DOES sound exactly like Doug Funnie's dad!
I dunno, he's OK.

Somebody else said it's just a local Atlanta 16-y.o. talent named Nikki.
I wish CN would bring back the guy, not the girl

I like the female voice, she sounds warm, charming, and cute. Also kids, or should I say, KIDS WHO THE VOICE IS AIMED AT could easily find the girl's little jokes funny. The old voice was generic, creepy, and sounded like one of the main male characters from Full House if you kicked up the fatherly 6 notches.
I really don't see how anyone can complain about CN's promos, voice over, and packaging (that's the term I'm looking for right?). The fact is that everything including the voice over(Not really including the shows, but IMO we can include the shows) are the best that they've ever been.

Of course, I could be wrong.

For one thing, credits being whiped away is not gonna happen, atleast not in the immediate future. Just for legal reasons.

I just read through all these posts, and being from the UK and being exposed to a different CN, I have NO IDEA what the heck you guys are talking about :D
Um, so, what exactly is so annoying? Is someone reading out the credits or something?

On CN US, during the credits of many shows, this girl starts talking, makes some comment about a cartoon character, and then tells what's coming up next.

I compare it to DJs talking over the songs. I don't mind if it's just regular credits, but some shows have stuff while the credits are rolling (Foster's, ECC, etc.), and she spoils it. And why do we need to be told what's coming up next, or what station we're watching? The giant CN logo or the 1/4 screen banner ad popup isn't enough?

Woah! :-S Talk about pointless! We have a guy saying what's coming up next and the popup which takes up over 1/3 of the screen as well >.< But it's pre-recorded meaning it;s the same every single time.

Tara strong and her husband are apart of this group who give classes to aspiring voice artists. I went to it and listened to some of their work. Grey Desile (the voice of Mandy, and Frankie) was there. At 1st I thought she might be the voice for CN but when I listened closer she didn't quite match. But when I listen to Mrs. Strong's it's the dead wringer for the voice at CN.

No, he isn't. He was the worst of the CN announcers. The one before him was infinitely better in all respects. Doug Preis's voice was just inappropriate for a kids network and completely lacking in energy or enthusiasm. He sounds like an accountant.

I'll have to agree with that statement. It was just unnatural... it sure let you know when a commerical break started and ended though.
Peter Cullen and Steve Blum should do all voice over work. Everything would be hipper. :anime:

So now you can rest easy.
I dunno, I guess it doesn't bother me like it seems to for you. As long as the announcer isn't shrieking/annoying or is saying stupid stuff (like most of the Toon Disney ones), I could care less.

She has a nice sounding young voice. It doesn't sound like a kids voice, that would annoy the heck out of me if it did.
The only time it bothers me is at the end of Cyborg 009 when she is talking over the singing.
I didn't notice it conflicting with the credit segments of Foster's. I just may not have been paying attention. The CN logo does get in the the way of that show some times, like when Bloo has those sales clerks put those noise activated cactus toys on his back and he's making that "Bluda, bluda bluda" type sound.
