Okay, I just saw on tvtome that Teen Titans will end with episodes 51 and 52 (ironically entitled "The End"). Is this true or just a hoax?

Every TV show must come to an end eventually. But, in Teen Titans' case, I'm hoping the show makes it to 102 episodes (4 seasons of 26 episodes, or 8 seasons of 13 episodes) before the final curtain draws. :)

Never trust them?
Some editors on TV Tome put up nothing but factual information.
I know, because I'm one of them.

Well your plan seems a bit reasonable, but i just hope Cartoon Network will handle it and stuff.

The plan is to end it at season 4. I doubt they'd go to 5, but it would be nice.

I hope they resolve this Robin/Starfire thing soon.

Why are we always talking about The End, when there's still 1 season and half to go? Who knows, maybe we'll have a 5th season. I just don't think is right to be talking about something that is years away.

I have a strange feeling with as popular as TT is, CN will keep picking it up until people stop watching. They're all about the ratings after all. ATHF had an episode called "Last One" and they're still going strong.

Paranoia and fear that CN and WB will stop making it.
...That wasn't a smart-aleck remark; I'm just speaking personally. The fact that there is a discussion about this (or, rather, multiple discussions about it) will hopefully reinforce how popular the show is and why it should stay on.

I really hope it's not true. I'm just starting to get into Teen Titans.

I thought The End was the episode where Raven dies. It makes enough sense.

CN ordered 4 seasons
funny, TT premiered like 15 months ago and we're almost near the end.
TT might become as uniquely popular as Pokemon & Yu-Gi-Oh
Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh air on 2 networks 7 days a week (morning, noon, and night) and has not yet grown stale w/the kiddies
even though TT is also aired 7 days a week over 2 networks, it hasn't gotten stale...even w/ an episode count far less than Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh

That episode was titled "The Last One" because it was the final episode of the 2003 season, which expresses how exhausted the guys at WS were when they finished the largest single-season episode order they'd had in years. (24 episodes as opposed to the usual 13)
I think people are being way too paranoid about "The End." There are LOTS of ends that could come of this, not just the end of the series itself. A major rumor being that...One of the Titans dies in that two-parter.
And please, even if it's just speculation and won't turn out to be true, post what's rumored to happen in spoiler boxes. Some people around here don't read the comics or keep up with the rumors, and are careful to avoid spoilers.

I've been cautiously optimistic about this, but that's just plain sweet!

That's both good and bad. The good part is that we get more of the show. The bad part is we still don't get to see much development with the releationships and personal lives of the characters until it gets close to the end.

I don't know about that. If the writers are unaware weather or not the show will get picked up again for a while, they will probably take steps to settle some of the relationships just in case it doesn't get picked up again. Then, if it does, they'll just continue to build on what they started.

That's good to know! :) Hey, if they call episode #52 "The End," it's no big deal; they can just call episode #53 "The Beginning" or (more preferable) "A New Beginnning." :anime:

Ya, I believe there will be new episodes.
They stopped Megas XLR for a while, and made no announcement of new eps. But ratings stayed pretty strong, and out of left field they ordered a new season. And Teen Titans is way more popular than Megas. Hell, they just started advertising teen titans toys on CN, I don't think they'd stop right after introducing merchandise.

if the show stays popular, i think they'll give it the unlimited treatment and rebuild the team/series bringing in alot of the other comic book titans.

I would like to see Wonder Girl join the team, she was kind of an important figure in the comics. She would be the one to take control over the team if something happened to Robin, not Cyborg. Also, a Jericho character might be interesting, since...

he's a mute and also the son of Slade, though they probably wouldn't bring that into the story since they're all about leaving the Titan's past a mystery. I mean, they don't even have Secret ID's.

If one of the Titans dies, I will die. If it's Raven, I'll die twice. Unless they decide to do a 'Westley' and make the character mostly dead, or able to be resurected. I'd personally like to see more of Speedy and Jinx in the future. It'd be sweet if they did give TT the Unlimited treatment, and bring in all of the comic Titans (except for Superboy and Kid Flash, both of whom I hate with a passion.) Also, maybe they could add the prospect of the Titans maybe breaking up, developing their own secret identities, and then getting back together, but maybe they could have kinda liked being normal for a while and sometimes just pretend normal kids. (Anything to get Robin to take off his mask. :p )

Please. I don't want to think about Raven having to die. I love Raven. Still, all of the five titans are so original. Why the replacing?
Magick
11-13-2004, 05:31 PM
Oh, no, I didn't mean anything like that. I wasn't suggesting replacing the team, just expanding it. And the thing about Raven? I too love her and would hate to see her get the axe, but exactly how many times have they knocked her off in the comics?

Well, that may be in the comics. I don't read it regularly. Only on the screen is what I care of, and rather written differently.

Ditto. I personally don't think that they could kill her in a cartoon. That'd make all the eight-year-olds watching it have nightmares for at least five months. The comic books do stupid things and I personally am not a huge fan of them. The cartoon rules, though.
