First is was Robin, and now Adventures of Superman. On Friday, Marvel officially confirmed that ex - The Flash writer Mark Waid will be the next regular Fantastic Four writer. Taking up the pencilling slot will be ex - The Flash penciller Mike Wieringo. Wieringo has confirmed that his final issue will be the double sized Adventures of Superman #600, hitting shelves in January. Comic Newsarama caught up with the artist and he had this to say:

"I was comfortable, but when the opportunity came up, and I had to choose between Adventures of Superman and [Marvel Comics's] Fantastic Four, I had to go with the Fantastic Four," Wieringo said. "I've always been a Marvel guy anyway, and love the Marvel characters. So when they offered me the book - and I couldn't believe that they did, I just couldn't say no."
