About a week or so back, we reported about an upcoming Smallville comic that will be appearing in an upcoming issue of TV Guide. The website Comic Newsarama was able to provide an update on the project. Alex Ross's issue of TV Guide will hit stories on and an estimated 11 million copies of Ross' art will be in supermarkets and Wal-Marts everywhere. As previously reported,Alex Ross will provide four covers for the magazine featuring three of the characters from the WB's new Smallville television series.
The covers will feature likenesses of the actors playing Clark Kent, Lana Lang and Lex Luthor. The fourth cover will feature Kent's future hero identity, Superman. All four covers will fit together to create one image when placed side by side. Inside the magazine, there will be an exclusive four-page Smallville tie-in comic by Terry and Rachel Dodson, a report from the set of the series, as well as an essay on comics, television, and Superman by Green Arrow's Kevin Smith.
