I was just reading about Kid's WB's demographic practices and the sicken me. Maybe this is why they have gone down the tube.
This past year, Kids' WB! spoke to more than a thousand kids during every phase of development and production, as well as partnered with child development experts to work closely with each series' creative teams to ensure the network is in tune with what is relevant and meaningful to kids. The result of this major effort has been an exciting line-up of hit shows.
I don't know about all of this, okay maybe the kids may know what they want to see, but the child develpment experts? Why would these creative teams need people telling them how to make shows? And we wonder while their is the fact that so many of their new shows bomb like Little Boy and Fat Man (no not because they are not appreciated, but just because they're bad cought* Detention* *cough* Gen O cough*!!!) I wonder if these people had a hand in having these shows made?
And now they have to mess with CN (who IMO got it right) because of some stupid reasons. Toonami was CN's highest rated block, if something is not broken don't fix it.
Now to rant about Fox.
Fox what happened to all the great stuff like X-men, and Spidey, and Godzilla TAS. Now we have Digimon, and Action Man, and Los Luchadoras (no YOU don't understand Toonzoners this show is harmful to your health.) Does Digimon even do that well in the ratings, or is it just a placeholder against other shows? And then hacking of Escaflowne which nobody watched, because they isolated the fanbase (and to add insult to injury it was still better then most of their other shows.) Something must be done.
BTW: Did a bunch of the executives from the mid 90's get fired?

Oh I know full well how bad LL is. Well, maybe not as I couldn't sit through a whole episode but something that's American Sentai meets Batman 4 meets wrestling is bound for diaster.

Well at least there's subs for Escaflowne, y'know? Don't know what foxKids' ratings are, but obviously investing in advertising the Digimon season finale during Toonami and on
Nickelodeon is a sign of either confidence or desperation. Season 3's been airing new eps each week in Japan since April... no word on a fourth season...

FOX KIDS is close ot being no more. The executives of FOX are considering shutting down FOX KIDS in a few years if their ratings don't improve -- drastically. FOX KIDS has been getting low ratings for three years, less than KWB. This is extremely bad becuase KWB is still not a major network, like FOX, and there for has alot less affiliates. With KWB's constant thrashing of FK, I' not too suprised they are considering shutting it down. Besides, FK is a joke now.

A better subject line would be "All your ignorance are belong to us!!!"

They are there to add moral stuff so kids learn something of course to do that they need to sacrifice quality thus kids won't watch the cartoon anyway.

See it is becouse they think they know what they are doing but don't really know what they are doing.

I wonder, why do people watch bad cartoons? I hear alot of complaints about a cartoon far into the season. Why watch it? Anyways, I agree that CN is totally screwing over the Toonami fans. Even the current schedule is dissapointing, and beginning Monday it gets worse. I'm not a big fan of network crossovers and CN and KWB seem to be puling out all the stops on this, which ain't makin' me (and thousands of other fans) all that hapy. Plus, the could at least re-edit CARDCAPTORS with new material and make it as bit more TOONAMI.

I don't know, Dick. Why are you still watching the Simpsons? :)

But that would cost money. The goal here is to make money. Why spend it if you don't have too?
But I do agree, we are getting screwed. I just have this feeling that once Superman takes his leave Toonami's going to feel soulless. :(

I just have one question...Does Fox Kids have anything to do with the Fox animation studio that shut down after Titan AE tanked? It occurred to me after reading this that Fox won't have ANY animation out let after they shut down Fox Kids. Geez, that would kinda suck. Well, they'd still have their animated shows on Sunday night, but you know what I mean.

The Fox Animation studio didn't produce squat for Fox Kids. The network pretty much relied on crap made from Haim Saban's company. True, he was president of Fox Kids, but his stuff wasn't produced by Fox itself.
Ah well. I have hope for The Ripping Friends, if John K. can ever make a deadline, but otherwise I'll have to agree, the network has pretty much languished after WB's stuff left.

I remember when the rumor surfaced that Saban and Fox are splitting -- and I hope it happens. Saban ruined that network. Once Power Rangers came on, it was all downhill from there.

Ditching Saban is an EXCELLENT idea, because that would be ditching anything remotely resembling Power Rangers. I highly recommend that.
Ya wanna know what really happened, and why your favorite networks with cartoons went down hill? Well here's what happened. The bad executives that only care about ratings are exceed the ones we like, unfortunately, because greed is contageous.
Now when the pea brains of the bad executives implode, it makes them explode, thus accidentally killing the executives and creators from the 90s that made the shows we loved.
I wonder if FOX knows that ditching Saban could possibly prevent the toilet flushing of their network.
