in anticipation of the new series coming wed, i just bought the last 3 issues of the last catwoman series. i was never a big catwoman reader, but this new re-vamp looks great. so, for those who read it, is the "trial of the catwoman" mini-series at the end of detective #459-462 worth getting. does it lead into the new series, is it something you'll need to read to highten the enjoyment of catwoman #1? thanks. peace.

Personally, I think its worth it. Its not a lot about Catwoman, and I'm not sure how important it will be to have read it before you read the new series. But, the story is well written, and I reall like the detective character that plays the lead role in it.

I got it.

I loved it.

I loved the end.

I loved Batman.

I loved how we dug deep into Selina's mind.

GET IT. YOU WON'T BE DISSAPPOINTED.

It wasn't focused on her all of the time, mostly on Slam, but its still a must-have for die hard mainstream Catwoman fans. Animated Series fans will most likely enjoy it too. I know I did, and Im a fan of both.:D

Not only should you get those four issues (and it's 759 - 764, just so you don't go out and buy the wrong books) for the Catwoman backup, because Brubaker writes a mean story and Cooke is a really good artist, but you should get the issues for the main story. 'Tec has been really interesting these last two years, and as seen in the current issue (764, on sale now) it only looks to get better. I can't wait to see where all these little strings go (it's probably all headed towards Bruce Wayne: Murder/Fugitive).

So, my opinion: get those issues now! Plus the Batman: Evolution trade (issues 742-750), and 'Tec #751-758 (well, you could skip 753 & 754 (Batman Dies! and Officer Down storylines, respectively) + 763 & 764. It's great reading. In fact, over Thanksgiving I'm gonna pull all the issues back up and read the current run (and also the post-Hama [what was DC thinking?!?] Batman issues) to get me in the mood for some major turkey eating.

Hope that helps!
