Everyone has been talking about this episode where Kim has no control on her emotions. And supposedly as shown in the promo pics Kim kisses Ron on the lips.

Where's TusconCoyote? I need to tease him about this episode and the whole Sam and Danny thing in Danny Phantom (both of which he denied.) :p Then both of them go along and happen in the same month, some classic gloating material :D . Kidding aside this should be very interesting, dare we speculate on the reprocussions of this in the next few episodes? Or will it just be an "under the influence type thing."

For those who don't read the TV tome, Steve Loter (one of the big cheeses on the show) has a thread where he answers questions about the show (Similar to Greg Weisman's gig on the Gargoyles site Station 8.) In this thread he implys that there's going to be some continuing charecter arcs in this coming season between Kim and Ron, resolution to the whole Josh Mankey issue, somemore insight into the various villans, and a definative finale (unless the fans of the show really do get their way.) It should indeed be very interesting to watch.

The kiss is as fake as a $3 bill. And I bet you anything that Kim is going to wake up from her MICROCHIP induced condition and exclaim.............Ron What happened!!..................I DID WHAT??!!

I think the writers do this to poke fun of the shippers, or at least give them something to "oogle" about. (go oooo and Ahhhhh over) Kinda like when the highway department puts up those annoying orange barrels, theres no construction going on.......they just wanna watch the cars pile up in gridlock.

I don't know it depends on how the writers spin it. Does the chip give you fake emotion? Or does it intensify already existing emotions? Should be interesting.

Maybe so but remember that Steve Loter (the director I was talking about) did imply that there would be signifigant development between Ron and Kim this season. You gotta be ready to face the possibility.

Maybe it will, but that doesnt mean i have to agree with it. I think that K/R would be a bad decision. If they were gonna be B/F G/F eventually, why didnt they hint at it more during the first 2 seasons? I havent seen anything that would lead me to believe that it was going to happen, most of the so called "hints" that all the shippers point to, can easily be explained as friends being friends (trust me, I know.......my best friend when I was in high school was female....we did things all the time that would make you think there was something between us, but there never were; such as sharing a sandwich, or leaning against each other on a bench or just generally hanging out) it doesnt mean they were destined to be B/F G/F. So what I'm saying is, because they never truely hinted at it........their becoming an "item" would be terribly out of context.

It was established from the very beginning that Kim and Ron were just friends.........example: in the episode Crush, it was clearly implied that Kim and Ron go to school functions together...AS FRIENDS, Kim clearly implied that she did not think of Ron as anything more than a good friend. Example #2: In the episode Grudge Match, Ron is trying to hide Kim from Zita after she summons him outside the theater, Ron pulls Kim quickly back, noticing Zita in the ticket window.........a conversation soon ensues (condensed here for space, watch the episode to see more) Kim: You and me.......on a DATE! Ron: It could happen. To which Kim shoots Ron a disapproving look. Clearly implying that Kim didnt think of Ron as anything more than a good friend and a trusted sidekick. Example #3: Many many times throughout this series, Kim and Ron have dated other people, it was established that Kim very much liked Josh Mankey......never getting jealous of Ron when he was with Zita, or Yori, or Tara's passes at him in Sink or Swim. Sure she was frustrated at him in Triple S near the end of the episode when she told him to "embrace the Ron-ness" but that expression was one of "i'm frustrated with him not understanding what im saying" NOT......."I'm jealous of those girls he's walking away with" There are many more examples to point out, but due to space restrictions, I cannot list them here.

So having said that.........Kim and Ron would be very much out of context, due to the early direction this show took. If they wanted K/R to be a couple, then they should have made it more blatantly evident.......to me, the evidence was just not there. If this show went the way of Kim/Ron, it would be the equivalent of a show with a mother and kids, implying that the mother and kids were just that......and then later saying, OHH we were wrong, we wanna make them a sister and her brother's kids......putting the previous episodes completely out of character and context. Making no sense whatsoever.

But above that, KP is KP.........NOT a soap opera, and I really wish that the people who want Kim and Ron to "get together" kindly stop their obsession, it's not productive in any way, shape, or form.......and it causes too much controversy.

I liked this episode, but while I like the idea of Ron and Kim I'd rather fawn over T.J. and Spinelli, or Conan and Rachel or Demia and Russel. I'm all for this direction :D and this isn't the first time they kissed though, remember the Christmas episode?

Like I said in my review of it, this ep could be the watershed moment of the series when it really comes into its own, or it could be the moment where it goes flying so far over the shark that it reaches escape velocity. But it should be interesting to watch to see what happens. I think it may add another layer to what is still otherwise a great show.
