We Must Establish Something... -
I've seen so many posts about this, and many people still think that Atomic Betty is a Cartoon Network Original. Now, while CN did pick up the show for five years, and while they may stay loyal to it, there is no evidence that the show is a Cartoon Network Original.
Some questions to answer:
Do you see Cartoon Network listed anywhere in the credits?
Why would so many companies, if any, be working with Cartoon Network on the show if it was their show?

It's not an Original....it's an acqisition....it was made for the Canadian marketplace first...

I never thought it was a CN original. I don't think it's premiered here yet, but it's been promoted on ABC (Australia, not America) and there has been no mention at all of it on CN. The fact that it was premiering on a different channel never brought the thought to my mind untill I read about it on the net.

Even though Atomic Betty, has the appearence of a CN Original show, it just isn't by any way. We could say that it's a wannbe Cartoon Cartoon, you can also throw in: My Life As A Teenage Robot, Fairly Odd Parents, & Danny Phamtom as part of that same catgetory also.

Does it really matter whether or not its a original?

Usually the shows that are a Cartoon Netowrk Original have that little cartoon network clip thingy at the end, like with Megas XLR in the end Mega's machine gun stops and Coop wacks it and the last bullet comes out.

Uh, those are on Nick, a completely different story.I think what he means is that it has the same look as the original CC's. Especially MLAATR.

Oh, well then, MLAATR definatley looks like a CC, but DP and FOP don't. DP isnt anything like a CC, and FOP is sorta like a CC, but it doesnt look like one.

Yeah, My Life as a Teenage Robot was created by Rob Renzetti, an artistic director to Dexter's Laboratory and Star Wars: Clone Wars. A CN guy.

This thread has become pointless. "Atomic Betty" was developed for YTV in Canada and Cartoon Network acquired the series. THE END
