Anyone else tired of the same shows on Boomerang??? I know I am, the old boomerang used to show a good variety of shows each month, but now its horrible. I really am not a big Looney Tunes or Tom/Jerry fan at all, but I can stand Flinstones and Jetsons. Get rid of these 2 shows and add more shows to the schedule. Am I the only one who feels this way?
Also as a sidenote, is it me or do they play the same toons every night in Cartoon Corral? I feel as though that stupid Rabbit and Hillbilly bears is on every freakin single night, give us Wally Gator or Snagglepuss damn it!

I seriously doubt that Boomerang'll ever do away with Loony Toons,Tom and Jerry or Scooby Doo because of their popularity. However there are serious flaws with the Boomerang programming in general. They overplay the 60's and 70's toons, air censored classics and generally doesn't seem to know how to run a network. They have the MGM library, there are tons of stuff from the 80's that they can use and maybe they need to work on aquiring the Filmation library for greater variety. And not go for the preschool block but that's another topic, but Boomerang needs to work on their programming better.

Boomerang isnt a very good network, and I'll give you that, they NEED to shape up. The first thing I would do is add more shows, but in order to do that, dont have the repeats. AT the most, only 1 repeat per show. That would be a good start.

As long as The Hallmark Company owns Filmation's library, we will never see any of their shows on Boomerang (other than episodes from The Superman/Batman Adventures and Tom and Jerry Comedy Show). Mr. Magoo, Battle of The Planets, Tennessee Tuxedo and Casper and Friends are the only varieties to air straight to Boomerang (not like Underdog, Rocky and Bullwinkle, and G.I. Joe, which all came from CN). Remember, this is a Time Warner channel. Hanna-Barbera (Ruby-Spears included), Looney Tunes, MGM shorts, Famous Studios' Superman shorts and The Popeye shorts are the only libraries that will get top priority on the network, although it's a shame that variety is getting limited. As long as money is still an issue with the networks and the library holders, these toons are just sittin' in the dark vault.:( At least half of these characters are being released on DVD, with beautiful colors and great sounds. Let's cheer for the DVD!:D No more anxiety on when we can see those toons again since these studios will release just about any TV show.

I think they have tried to acquire some different shows, but they're an expensive investment. With the Hanna Barbera library being so huge, I'm surprised they haven't dug out any of the off-the-wall weird cartoons we haven't seen in years.

Hello, Anime Freak, Zachary Williams and HB-fans from the whole world!
Wally Gator (which's one of the sequences from The New Hanna-Barbera Cartoon Series/Wally, Lippy & Touché [1962]) returned to be aired this month, here in Brazil (and on the Latin America either) by Boomerang (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com.br/boomerang or http://www.cartoonnetworkla.com/english/boomerang), on the weekdays.
This is just a reminding that I've had to pass 4 U.
Well, that's it!
Ciao!
Cheers from this faithful friend who always writes 4 U,

Actually Hallmark no longer owns the Filmation library, it was sold to a company based out of the UK called Entertainment Rights sometime early this year.
