I hope its not a major let down...the game was pretty good, lets just see if the series can keep up with the game.

This is awesome news. I was so thinking "this game needs an anime" while playing.
Now, since its been six months, let's hear it for a release date! :p

When it's licensed I want the cast to return and voice the series.

Cool news. I'm not familar with the game, but I remember seeing it on the cover of Nintendo Power in a store and thinking that the characters looked perfect for an anime show. Hopefully there's a solid story behind it all.

In related news: I finally beat Tales of Symphonia today after taking a month break to play Star Ocean 3, among other things.

The Tales of Eternia anime kinda... sucked. Hopefully this one doesn't go down that road.
Tales of Phantasia supposedly got an OVA around the end of last year, but I haven't heard anything about it.

Sounds like a formula for destruction. Honestly, Symphonia sucks. Its story wasn't that good, and with videogame to anime licenses usually turning out worse. I just don't see this being good. In anyway.

Please no... at least not the lead male (aka Scott Menville). He didn't suit the character at all.
But chances of the cast returning are slim to none unless you heard some typical LA anime voice overs.

Well, in this case, it's a matter of personal preference. I liked Scott's rendition of Lloyd (though I am a bit biased, being a huge Mission Hill and Teen Titan fan).
Though I had my issues with a few of the other VAs, overall, I thought it was a good production.
I keep hearing how Symphonia is a great game (still haven't played it sadly. ) So hearing it's gonna get some sort of anime treatment sounds interesting. i know I'll check it out, hopefully I'll have played the game by then. :p
