I just got confirmation that Superman Adventures #66 will indeed be the final issue of title. You'll be able read the official soliciation info for the issue on Tuesday when DC releases their Febuary soliciation info, which we will have available on the newsboard. The issue will ship in Febuary. This title will be greatly missed. So - any good memories of this title?

I loved issue 1. I also enjoyed 25 a little. But like I've said before, I haven't bought an issue since Burchett did covers, and I also started collecting when Scott McCloud left the series so I probably missed some good ones.

One of my favorite issue issues was probably issue #27; which dealt with Luthor and his motivations for hating Superman. It was dealt with particularly well here (especially considering that not many writers look at his motivations very often).

I loved both McCloud's and Millar's runs on the book. They were both great. There hasn't been much since that was even worth the 10 minutes it took to read.

Honestly, I'm glad they're finally putting this book out of it's misery.

Ok Guys, bitterness at the past few issues aside, I'd like to think that we're all sad to see this series go. Think back on all those wonderful memories as you read the last issue. In fact, think of them now....

Superman versus Himself in issue #1, the giant Jax-Ur (:D ), The War Within, Lex's Reasons for Hating the Man of Steel, Supergirl, The World's Finest Team (Sort of!), Brainiac's Attempted Apokolipse, What Could Have Become Of Kryptonopolis (amazing two parter  !), 22 stories in a single bound, Kara's mother as a Brainiac clone, The Ultimate Challenge, Lana's mentionning of Clark feelings for Lois (#51), Kryptonite no more, Terry meets Clark and finally the last two parter of Superman Adventures....Ever. It makes me want to cry...:( :( :( :( :( .

As it was once said, by Peter MacNichol (John Cage) on Ally McBeal, "If you look back on your Year, and it doesn't bring back tears of either joy or sadness, consider it wasted." I think that is applicable here. It's the reason why we're all going to cry with issue #66.

That is an excellent quote, DisneyBoy! The series was a great series. Except for a handfull of issues, issues #1 - 41 was a perfect run for the creatives. Since issue #42, the book has been a mixe bag. It provided some really good stories, but also provided some real stinkers. But overall it has been a great series. From the sounds of the two parter, it is going to be great. The info for part 2 (which we'll post on the newspage on Tuesday) definatly makes Part 1 sound alot better. I will definatly miss this series when it's gone. I always look forward to this series. Like Batman Beyond, it's gonna be weird not getting this everyday.
