I just saw a commercial with Plank. People were throwing trash at him, the ground, and the road. Obligitory tear at the end. At the bottom it said, "Vote Plank '04". Wierd.

I really hope that they don't use an election thing to determine which show they will UBERLY pimp in 2005.
I'll only vote for Plank if the other options are Clover, Beastboy, Baby Daffy or Number 4... If you get my drift.
Vote Shobu for president!

This is sounds like another commercial poking fun at the presidential election ads. They had one for Ed, Number 1, and Eduardo so far.

I've seen those commercails too. But one thing's bugging me; Wasn't Scooby Doo the CN president the last time they did this? If so, then why is Ed being the one up for Re-election?

Ed probably just thinks he's already president, he never was that bright. Oh, and if this does become another Cartoon Network election, I will vote for Plank, unless Mandy is running. ;)

The ad is actually a spoof of a 1971 public service announcement from the Keep American Beautiful campaign. You can actually watch the original ad HERE (http://www.vanderbilt.edu/AnS/Anthro/fischer/SellingIdentities/cryingindian1971.mov) (Quicktime .mov file).

Yeah, I remember it back in '00. That was nice. I've seen a different Vote for Plank ad. It has the Kids Next Door using wood products, and then the announcer calls it endorsement.

Saw the Plank and Ed ones. Stupid as hell. Didn't pay much attention to them though.
I've seen one for Numbah One, Ed, Plank and Eduardo. I kind of hope they do have another Cartoon Campagin. I really liked the last one, even if I wasn't happy with the results...
Raven for president.

Hopefully, the winner of this election doesn't support gay marriages or gets thousands killed for oil =/.
Anyways, Plank for '04.

Now, THAT would be hilarious to see on CN!;) The numbah 1 thing sucked,, but the announce for it was pretty funny and so was that map with the sates. But I thought they would said something like "Screw school, and watch CN ALL DAY, EVERY DAY" :p

What's funny is that Ed is imitating Bush: Being an idiot.
Plank also is imitating Kerry: Being mindless...

Is CN going to do another marathon and let people vote on CN.com like last election, or just make a lazy attempt to not grab ratings by having an entire day of old school and new cartoons while counting down the ranks?
If not, that would mean Scooby Doo stays in for another 4 years.
