Kare Kano and Fruits Basket. They're both still being written, so you'll be occupied for a while, and they're a lot of fun.

You should get some CLAMP in there (besides Tsubasa) like xxxHolic, Clover(REALLY GOOD), Wish and Chobits.

I'd also recomend Bleach, Prince of Tennis and Beet the Vandel Buster

Confidential Confessions
Saikano
Planetes
Kodocha (which you should buy before it goes out of print in America indefinetely)
Kare Kano
Fruits Basket
Anything CLAMP, but especially Clover, Suki, Legal Drug, Chobits, CCS, Tsubasa and XXXHolic.

and if you don't mind reading real books, the novelization of Onegai Twins actually fun and funny, unlike the show of the same name. ;)

Bleach.

And knowing you...probally check out Get Backers, don't stare at Hevn too long, your blood shouldn't need to be going there from staring at ink.

Pray that Genshiken(like viewing Karl, Twage, Mynd, Knux, a fusion of Go-chin and RedTail, and Umino's life as if they were otaku part of their club, genshiken. Hilarity ensues.), and Fullmetal get liscened or seek them.

EDIT: Forgot to mention Berserk and Blade of the Immortal, I myself need to read more of them.

And both are still ongoing so you won't get bored.

This is what I read, manga-wise. Every once in a while I end up with a new title because I'm all caught up at the moment :o :

Fushigi Yugi: Great characters and a couple cute girls and impersonators thereof.

Yugi-Oh: Miles better than the tv show, at least so far. Friendship, weirdness and none of that card game exposition. Oh yeah, and Grandpa enters the story with pervy comments about Anzu/Tea.

One Piece: Every few pages it gave me yet something else to get hooked on. Awesome Awesome Awesome!

Naruto: Fight scenes, weird characters.. cool cool cool

Tsubasa: Love those CCS kiddos, glad to see 'em without shelling out for another DVD series.

XXXHolic: Picked up for its Tsubasa tie-ins, kept up because it's more CLAMP awesomeness. Helped me kick my soda fixation and furthered my manga one.

Gravitation: More weird characters here. It'll prepare you for the type of popular entertainment 20 years or so down the road, as will...

FAKE: 7 issues, completed. NYPD yaoi!

Chobits: Kawaii Chii-chan and more robot issues explored!

From Ken Akumatsu

Maho Sensai Neijima
Love Hina
(skip A.I.)

Ashen Victor (one shot Motorball graphic novel)

Aqua Knight (Again, the same guy who did Atlita)

those should give some entertainment values.

Yes.

Take Solitude1's suggestions. Especially Kare Kano... But Especially Gravitation. Preferably both for maximum manga effect.

If you are remotely a fan of Gundam, then I suggest the following side stories:

Gundam Wing-Episode Zero
Gundam Wing-Blind Target
Gundam Wing-Last Outpost (3 Volumes)
Gundam SEED-Astray (2 Volumes so far)

All are pretty decent, but all include little Chibi Gundam comics at the end, which are hilarious.
