Look, I don't want to have to do this next week, y'all. Red Giant, do yous jobs next time.

Also everyone in Evil Con Carne is colored like a cereal commercial, apparently.

I'm assuming diffrent people animated it, or were in charge of overseaing it being animated?

The characters look slightly altered and shaded. Looks rather neat actually, kind of cinematic. I never cared too much for Evil Con Carne, but thus far this episode has been keeping my attention rather well.

It's really queer photoshop shading though. One color shading would have worked way better.

I absolutely hate the new character design and animation. The stories were okay, though.

wow.. even if it's one of the few unreleased episodes left in evil con carne. it sure is an animation breakthrough in this episode from prior ones. very good detail to a lot of things in this episode.

even if it ended tonight, the evil con carne.. still, still.. what an incredible last episode would it be. boy, poor scarr. heheh heh. and the video game bit was a nice thing. though hector's bear.. is kind of fat.

i'd say this redesign on all the major characters was worth it. especially hector.

and whoa.. a good, twisted story and ending.

9 of 10. good job, people.

america's favorite zero,

The new changes are ok to me. I like the part in "No No Nachuk" where the mountie says "You're under arrested for not fitting in!". Aww..Hector finds a place where he belongs. :D It was so funny when Skar started shrieking about not getting probe or having his organs removed. It was really funny in "Teenage Idol" when Skar threw that rock at the monkey(I burst into laughter the minute I saw that. :D) and when monkey started to cry Skar says "Serves you right!" :D How can that statue have human perants. Maybe they were the ones who craved him but wouldn't they be very old?

My guess behind the new visuals is that the people making the show, knowing it would be cancelled, spent a truckload of cash for new visuals so as to go out with a bang. I really like the new character designs (Boskov's new design reminds me of Stimpy) and the stories weren't half-bad either.

I have to agree about the shading, it just looked weird...very hard to get used to. However, I loved the new designs - I always wanted Hector to look more like an actual brain, and he certainly does. I think the writing and humor has improved a very great deal, even if it still isn't quite as engrossing as Billy & Mandy.

It's a shame there won't be more (I'm assuming), it was just finding the right formula.

Do not tell me I just saw "PWNED" on TV. Too bad this is cancelled, it just got good.

Bosko must be obese.:p No, but I REALLY like the new charecter desings, and the plots were good. The first episode was great especially with the Major Ghastly parts, hilarious.:D Too bad its cancelled.

To me this seems very similar to what happened to Nick's "All Grown up" half way through the first season. The colors do seem alot more vibrant, I think it looks kinda nice, not awe inspiring but then again I never thought this or its sister show really set themselves apart visually from the other Cartoon Cartoons.

I loved that part where the statue is playing a video game which is a spoof of the Online RPG Star Wars game, at least that's what I think it was because the game has a lot of dancing options.

Overall I was suprised by seeing a new episode, very good and extra care taken to the animation/coloring. I usually work during this time so I'm glad I had today off to catch it.

The first episode was great.

"All I was able to get was this old sled and six starving dogs"

"But there are only five dogs"

"Oh but they are not starving"

So Evil Con Carne is it's own show now too? ' . '
Any idea when the UK will get to see these? :D
I assumed they merged Evil with Billy and Mandy when I saw the new intro and noticed General Skarr in the character lineup. Well I'm confused >.< Can anyone explain for a guy who has no idea what's up in the US?

Yes and no. Cartoon Network broke the show into two, with the "Evil" part to stop production. What we are seeing now are the remains of the "Evil" cartoons as a separate show...basically leftovers from the split. As of mid-2004, "Gim" and "Evil" are one show again, but its called "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" now. So I think all of the cartoons will eventually cycle back into each other....maybe.

Anyway, I love the new character designs. So great.

No. They started as one show....Grim & Evil. THen the network split off Grim on its own....in divying up all the shorts from the first run (26 eps), they ended up with 15 Grims and 9 Evils. The network ordered 26 new Grims last year, but didn't know what to do with 9 Evils, so they ordered 4 more to have 13 (a standard initial order) and let Adam show what the show could be.....that's what we're seeign now.....I think it's supposed to be a test and if they work, then there could maybe be more....

No, they split the two shows up, becasue they wanted to. Thus, both shows doing good, allowed them to have thier own shows. These were made before it was cancelled.
