well, i'm not a fan of harry potter, i havent read the books or anything, but i heard on conan that the kid who plays harry's voice changed during filming, so they dubbed over his voice!! is that true, anyone know. if it is, that not a good sign. plus, with all the sequal coming, what are they going to do?

Voice changing will not affect the sequel. Harry gets older as the series progresses, and it would be appropriate to have a taller, older-sounding Harry for the sequel. As for dubbing over this first movie...

It doesn't seem noticeable from the reviews I've read, if indeed it has been dubbed over.

Okay, here's what happened: At the end of filming Daniel Radcliff's voice began to change, so there are only a few scenes where his voice had changed. So they got another kid (the one they have doing the Harry Potter video games) to dub the voice for the few scenes. So, they don't have a dubbed voice for the whole movie, just a couple lines. As for the next couple movies: in the books the kids are at the age that they are going through puberty anyway, so they probably won't worry about it.

...during the filming of The Pagemaster MacCauley Culkin's voice started to change and had to be electronically altered...and during Richie Rich he hit a growth spurt and had to have his suitcoat sleeves lengthened...and look what happened to his career.. I'd hate to see this Harry Potter kid become a has-been when he barely got to be a was....
