Here we go, much better. Mother-daughter banter is back after the premiere sorely needed it. Michel having to babysit the kids was classic.

"Do you want to play haide and seek agaiin or do you want to play your insipid board gaime?"
"PLAY OUR INSIPID BOARD GAAAAME!!!"

We actually saw Rory in Paris (I wonder if she met Lana) and Luke in his sister's Renaissance Faire. I guess the days of never seeing TV characters actually in the places that they travel are over; building new sets must cost less.

I liked this ep, the way that Dean acted when Loreli gave him the letter was cute. And the Luke/Loreli thing has been awaited for a very long time, so I'm happy! :anime:

I missed the premeire but judging by this one I really didn't need to see it. Very enjoyable episode. But it looks like it won't take me long to get sick of Dean again... but then I notice he's not in the beginning credits anymore (he was last season wasn't he?)

Regarding Rory in Europe I think they missed the real oportunity there. Having Emily bring Rory to Oxford and running into Paris and Asher Fleming.

Dean has never been in the opening credits. It was Lorelai's boyfriend Jason that was in half the openings last season, sometimes replaced by a shot of L&R giggling. "Greaser Bad Boy" Jess had his name in the credits for one season.
