I saw mention of a JLA fighting game in the news item on the new Superman game. Could anybody provide more details, or point the way to an appropriate website?? In particular, why is it halted in production, and will it restart??
A JLA fighting game would be wonderful, AND it would open the way for the ultimate fighting game. . .

I would love to see this game. I hope its the animated version of the characters they use.

My younger brother and I actually ploted out how we'd want the Marvel/Dc game to be when the first Marvel Capcom game came out. We discussed what characters to include, play mechanics, etc. We decided that there would have to be lop-sided teams (an idea SNK vs Capcom employed.) An example being: Heavys like Superman, Surfer and Green Lantern count as a whole team (four characters,) while, the another team could be composed of Batman, Daredevil and Spiderman (who counts as two characters,) or Superboy and Wolverine (both two's,) Catwoman, Electra and Wonder Woman, etc.
I'd also hoped for a Batman fighting game, done in the Streetfighter 3 style.

Sounds like a good idea, which would allow the more powerful characters to be more powerful. Of course, you'd get in huge arguments over who is a 4, a 3, a 2, or a 1. ;)

Actually, There WAS a JLA fighting game that came out way back in Sega Genesis and SNES called "Justice Legue Task Force".
Sadly it wasn't a very good looking game :(

I remember that game...wasn't too bad, but then again, I was a kid, anything with Batman was awsome back then :)

I played the JLA fighting game for the SNES,
The graphics was horrible and the controls sucked too.
The game was just plain bad, but my favorite part was how I can use aquaman and kick the crap out of Supes with his karate kick.
:D
