Having just read Venom issue 18 and noticing that it is not mentioned in the upcoming solicitations I was wondering if the title has been cancelled? Does anyone know?

He no move no more.

AKA: It's done for. Pick up Venom vs Carnage mini for a good Venom story and not what we got in the series.

You just insulted Venom (which I dont have a problem with), to say venom vs Carnage is good?

Actually I agree with him, V/C is definately some of the only Venom stuff done in the last couple of years that hasnt sucked completely, outside of Spectacular's Venom and Ultimate Venom.

Well the character of Venom is portrayed ok in the series, but the story is awful.

Toxin? Come on
Carnage is at his usual sucki-ness in the book too

Black Cat is out of place, big time

The art only looks good when it's symbiotes fighting too.

Don't forget Marvel Knights Spider-Man Venom. His new design is really nice.

Venom suffered from a contrived and jsut plain stupid story that moved way too slow and art that couldn't decide if it was manga-style or american.

If Marvel really wanted to do a story in the fashion of "The Thing"(not Aunt Petunia's ever loving one either), they should have done an original story and not lached on a popular character who's not even really the star of the book.

V/C's art is much nicer, and while the story is loacking, at least it makes sense and moves along at a quick pace.

I blame the crappy re-design of the character. :p

Personally I like the way Black Cat looks in this series (as if she could ever look bad) - even if she may be out of place in this story

I really don't mind at all Black Cat's role in this series (although I have a feeling it might turn out to be more important than we think). Anyway, I am glad to see Venom talking to Carnage in the new one, I think that it definately sheds some new light on the whole "why symbiotes hate their parents" deal, which was never particularly convincing to me, it seemed more of an excuse to get Venom and Spidey on a team. So I like the fact that Venom hates Spider-Man more than Carnage enough to put their differences aside to work together to fight something they both hate.

As an aside inside of an aside, does anyone know what ever happened to those symbiotes from the Venom minis in the nineties? I'm not sure if they had names, but there was a green one, a black one, an orange one, a pink one, and a yellow one. The reason I ask is that I was at Universal studios not too long ago and on the 3d Spdier-Man ride there was the pink symbiote. Are they still alive?

Most of the symbiotes combined and bonded an Vault gaurd to form Hybrid, a hero that I thought had potential, but was lost is all the Clone Saga and Heroes Reborn stuff. The only other symbiote other than Venom and Carage is the a female on that's red and yellow but I don't remember her name or what's happened to her.
