View Full Version : What Marvel characters haven't made it onscreen yet?

I was skimming through my Marvel books last night, particularly Marvels and I noticed such a vast collection of Marvel characters, some of who I've never seen before. That got the ball rolling back to the Marvel cartoons I've seen. And that led to (of course) wondering what Marvel characters haven't we seen onscreen yet? I guess cameos count as being animated.

I mean after all of those characters that appeared on Spider Man you would at least think that Luke Cage and Iron Fist would appear on the show in one form or another seeing as how they both operate in NY. But instead we get Rocket Racer, The Prowler, The Spot and Blade(who wasn't really popular then).
Black Widow
Luke Cage
Iron Fist
Foggy Nelson
Bullseye
Elektra
All signs point to the lack of a Daredevil cartoon

The only ones that haven't been said that I can think of is the original Human Torch. I'm sure there are plenty of other villains and heroes none of us know about that haven't make it.

Arcade
Carrion
Doppleganger
Boomerang
Cloak and Dagger
Jack O'Lantern
Jack of Hearts
Goblin Queen
U.S. Agent
I don't understand why he had such weird Spider-Man villains like Rocket Racer and the Spot and didn't get good villains like Bullseye and Arcade.

There are lots of them if you think about it.
Power Pack
Black Knight
Justice
Quasar
Photon
Silverclaw
Triathlon
D-Man
Union Jack
Baron Blood
Count Nefaria
Dakota North
Misty Knight
Colleen Wing
Topaz
Synch
Chamber (most of Generation X has never been animated, but they were seen onscreen in the Generation X TV movie).
Speed Demon
I could just keep on going.
Dig through your Marvel Handbooks, folks. There are hundreds of them.
By the way, Arcade did appear on X-Men: Evolution, but in a slightly altered form.

Hi there.
I'm pretty sure that Justice, Black Knight and Quasar made cameos during the second season of Fantastic Four. I know that Justice did for a fact, along side Speedball and a few other New Warriors.
As mentioned, Arcade made a nice appearance on X-Men Evolution as a classmate of the teenaged X-Men who assumes that the danger room is a game and the X-Men are characters, so he spends the last third of the episode trying to destroy them. As far as bringing Arcade to TV I thought it was pretty good, and captured the spirit of the character.
Doppleganger made a semi-appearance in the fifth season premiere of Spider-Man, "The Wedding", as one of Harry Osborn's hallucinations of Spider-Man. I think the character only had two arms, but he had the mouth and teeth of Doppleganger and looked as close as you can get without actually being the character.
Have a good day then.

That said I think Power Man and Iron Fist are long overdue and should've easily been used on Spider-Man, they blew that opportunity bigtime in exchange for those urban nobodys like Rocket Racer and Prowler. Also a Taskmaster(Captain America hint hint) and Deadpool appearance would be kickass.

Hi there.
Deadpool cameoed a few times on X-Men, the most notable during the Phoenix Saga, but he never made a full appearance, which would have been a lot of fun.
Howard the Duck made a psuedo-appearance during the Phoenix Saga too, appearing on Beast's T-shirt.
Here's a page with information on all of the X-Men cameos. The Deadpool one is showcased on the main page.

Moon Knight! I love that guy, and it'd be neat to see him somewhere, in some capacity.

Sorry for OT, but...
WHAT GENERATION X MOVIE?
And yes, the original Human Torch was kinda appeared (as a lifeless mechanical body in a glass tube, but appeared nonetheless) in the FF episode. It was a great one too.

Hi there.
There was TV movie that aired on FOX in 1996 based almost directly off the Scott Lobdell/Chris Bachalo Generation X comics, except for the fact the script was weak and they had no money.
Jubilee, Skin, Mondo, M, Banshee and Emma Frost appeared alongside a few new mutants, and fought Matt Frewer. At the time I thought it was great, but looking back it was pretty cheesy. The actress that played Jubilee did a good job though, even if she wasn't Asian, and I'm pretty sure the guy that played Banshee actually did the voice on the X-Men cartoon as well.
There was a nod to the other X-Men with an Xavier bust in one scene. I don't remember if they referred to him by name, however.
If you were a fan of the Gen X comics it's worth a look, but don't get your hopes up.

If you were a fan of the Gen X comics it's worth a look, but don't get your hopes up.I remember it was also going to act as a pilot if Fox was interested in doing more. I taped it when it aired and watched it a few times and while it wasn't great it was much better than that terrible Nick Fury movie.
The Gen X kids would be an ideal cast of characters to make a cartoon out of, but I guess X-Men: Evolution defeats the purpose of a cartoon based around those mutants. Still, it would have been nice if XME tossed in some cameos of the Gen X crew.

I always thought Owl never appeared, but he was in Insidious Six.

I always thought Owl never appeared, but he was in Insidious Six.Owl wasn't in the Insidious Six. The line-up for that group was:
Chameleon, Mysterio, The Scorpion, Doc Ock, The Shocker, and The Rhino (The Vulture would replace Mysterio when they returned)
You are right about The Owl appearing. He has a really quick cameo in that episode. DRG4's Spider-Man site has a screenshot from that episode with that character:

Boomerang
.Boomerang was actually used in the "Command Decision" episode of that rancid Avengers series and it was also sadly Captain America's and Baron Zemo's(Masters of Evil) only spotlight episode.

Considering the animated series, no wonder people missed the appearance of Boomerang. I feel bad for the characters' creator for having him appear on such a terrible, terrible show that should have been so much better.
Arcade
He did appear on X-Men: Evolution. You know his character would have been great for the X:TAS series. I think a 1 or 2 part episode around him would have fit right in for the series. Would've been better than those two Mojo episodes.
