So do you have any fish, dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, Horses?

I have a dog. He's part labrador, retriever and maybe Shepherd but we are not sure, his name is Hank and is seven years old and very grumpy.

I also have about eight fish including three I don't know whats but they might be members of the arrowana or killifish family. They're about four inches long or so. They like to eat spiders and one time one of them jumped out to catch a fly and it was the middle of the night so it scared me half to death.

So what does everyone else have?

Currently we have a Yorkshire Terrier named Pepino. My older brother also bought a female yorkshire terrier who he named Paulina but he decided to give her to some old lady who breeds dogs.

I used to have 2 cats named Chaz and Rune. Both were male. Chaz was a very timid black cat while Rune was a seemingly stoned orange tabby.

Well, the family dog (Black Cocker Spaniel) is named Bailey. However that's back in Mass and I live in PA now. (I miss the little guy)

My apartment complex recently decided to allow dogs, but I live alone and am out often, so I dont' think it would be fair to a dog's quality of life if I were to get one, so I just live vicariously through other peoples pets. :D

Uh oh...you're going to get me started talking about my pets, something I love to do and like to spend a long time doing! I'll try to keep this brief, though!

My cat, who've I've had for over ten years now, is a beautiful Himalayan seal-lynx point named Tuffy. He doesn't have a ugly smushed face, though, like some Himalayans, which makes me very happy because he has a very cute face. Now that I'm at college, I miss him a lot and I really look forward to getting to go home and visit him!

Our other cat, a yellow tabby named Topaz, is also a sweetheart. We rescued him from my parent's veterinary hospital, after he was brought in as a kitten with 3 broken legs. We got him to heal pretty well, although he still can't use his back legs that well. Anyway, he's extremely sweet and loves attention.

We also have a parakeet named Emmie, and some tropical fish. Here in my dorm room, I have a very pretty Beta fish named Aeneas.

Our Golden Retriever, Libby, passed away just about two weeks ago. I'm pretty sad that I couldn't be there to grieve with the rest of my family. She was such a great dog, one who I basically grew up with. We're looking into getting a new Golden Retriever puppy in the near future, so at least we have that to look forward to.

I hate pets.

As a kid I took in this street cat and named him tommy. Turned out it was a she and it gave babies. Her motherly instincts kicked in and she used to scratch us all. Then one day mom found her licking milk out of a glass she kicked her out.
end of story.

No pets, here. Used to have a dog, but he was stupid and annoying and shed a lot, so I got rid of him.

About 9 cats, all outdoors.

3 horses.

3 dogs- 1 German Shephard, 2 Rots.

Some fish in the pond. I don't think you could call them pets, but we did buy them and put them there.

I've got a German Shepherd/Lab named Bandit, she looks just like a dingo and is the most neurotic and weird little mutt I've ever known...actually, I've had several people tell me that she reminds them of me moreso than any dog/owner pair they've known...that -can't- be good for either of us...

I've also got a grey tabby cat named Louis, named after the main character in Interview with the Vampire -- not because it's necessarily a favourite book of mine but just, I dunno, because he -looked- like a Louis...and in a vague way it turns out to have been a pretty appropriate source for a name, too, given the number of bats he's caught over the years (I -STILL- don't know how he does that but it's -so- not fun to clean up bat remains from the carpet =P

I love them both immensely, but I must admit, the dog is totally my -baby-... =)

We have a standard dachsund named Autobahn Bismarck (get it? "Autobahn" like the German highway? Sounds like "Atto von"? Ah, never mind). We just call him Biz though.

I used to have a guinea pig named Mimi, a rabbit named Babs (like "Tiny Toons") and two goldfish named Hermie and Goldie, but they've all since passed on the the great big meadow/pond in the sky.

There are several horses at the barn where I ride that I like to tell people are mine, but they sadly are not, lol. They're Thoroughbreds named Truman and Boomer and an old Appendix Quarter Horse named Lucas.

I recently took in my girlfriend's cat when she moved to a place where they don't allow pets. I'm not really a cat person as I prefer dogs but ultimately I prefer not to have pets at all. Anyway, his name is Shinobi and he is 17 months old. When my girlfriend feels like geeking out, she calls him "Shinobi-wan."

My parents have fish. Lots of fish. A 29 gallon, a 10 gallon and a betta tank to be exact. I hate pets. Cats are evil, fish smell, birds are loud, and I've never had a dog. I'd like a little dog. Like a dachshund! :anime: I used to have cats, when I was growing up, but now I hate them!!!!

Opaque I love your corgi, I want to get one someday, are they good family pets?

Any way I forgot to mention something funny about my dog. He's afraid of UPS trucks. I'm not kidding whenever one drives by he hides under my desk until it leaves. And yesterday when we were walking him, one passed by us and he tried to hide behind my mom as best he could. He's also afraid of cats including my neighbors new kitten. What a spaz!

My roommate has two cats (http://forums.toonzone.net/showpost.php?p=1144625&postcount=29). one of them (in my current avatar) follows me around like a puppy, the other one (the very serious-looking one in that post) gets in my way when she wants my attention. Boy, how did I let that thread get to page 10?! of the Cafe?

Anyway, I would love to have a dog again. Perhaps some day...

I have a white cat named Snowflake (a she). She's about three now. I like her, but she can get annoying at times, due to her always wanting attention.

We currently have one cat, a mostly black female named Tipper (because the tip of her tail is white). We got her about two and a half years ago. She's a sweet cat, but she isn't really shy when letting us know what she wants (especially when it comes to food).

i have a black lab and a tabby cat. The funniest thing on earth was the second day we brought her home(the black lab) she bit the cat's tail. Since then they have had many fights, but the lab always starts them.

I feel sorry for my cat:sad:

bucky is about 14 and is half black lab, half golden retriever. he loves (or loved, he's too old now) to hunt

yogi is 2 and is half black lab and half something else. we're not sure what. we're thinking cat because he likes to walk by people and rub up on their legs :p unlike bucky though, yogi despises hunting

Boy, how did I let that thread get to page 10?! of the Cafe?
Instead of just saying that, why not remind everyone that the Café has a thread full of pictures of our various pets, found here:

Toon Zone Family Pets Album (http://forums.toonzone.net/showthread.php?t=101569).

This thread is fine, but if you have pictures, why not show us your pets instead of just telling us about them? ;)

Yeah... well... that's what I said! "Everyone post there." You're the only one who didn't catch on! sure, that's it. :o

But seriously, you're obviously the slow one best suited to take care of the thing. I am quite negligent, you know ;)

and with that, I hereby transfer all responsibility of that thread to you! Congratulations on your new adoptive baby, GOB!

Ah the things I can get away with when the person I'm talking to isn't around to reason with me :)

I have one spoiled little brat of a Bearded Dragon named Buddha. :D
Beardies have great personalities. They are like birds, but far less noisy. Very friendly lizards.

I used to have an iguana named Draco for five years, before she died of egg binding. She was a great lizard. She would always cuddle up around your neck, and was so friendly.

Then I got a small Asian long tailed lizard named Konglong. He only lasted for two days until he died of a rotovirus. The pet shop that sold him to me (by the way, at the time of purchase, showed no signs of sickness.) has gotten in trouble with their mistreatment of pets before.

We used to have two cats named after Beatles albums.
Pepper, was a Maine Coon, and one of the smartest and most gentle cats ever. He lived for 17 years.
Abby (misspelling of Abbey Road) was a mix, and a diebetic. She lived for 16 years.

I also had lots of goldfish, and one snail. Oh, and the countless brown and green anoles outside.

Good Ol' Batmanuel!

Yeah... well... that's what I said! "Everyone post there."
When? In your previous post in this thread? Nope. :ack: <-- new "smily"

Anyway, no one reads signatures, right? Do you even have one? Haha. :p

I should add some pics to that thread to kick it in gear again. Just have to upload a few things first.
