Does anyone know where I can get some good articles on it. I mean, reliable sources like Newsweek or something. I'm doing a persuasive essay on it and why its not too useful.
Help?
Jesus created http://www.google.com for a reason, you know. Just type in "US Patriot Act" or something and let it work it's divine abilities.

But most of the sites it gives me are mainly "fanbased" so to speak. I need, RELIABLE sources.

You should maybe just read it yourself.
A google of "patriot act" turns it up as the first hit.
I think the bill is HR 3162,
and what was called son of patriot act was HR 3179.
The more independent sources you read, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, two papers you can sign in at, and get different viewpoints, get stories on it, the more informed you will be, add Newsweek, Time, maybe US. News and World Reports, The Nation, New Yorker, New Republic, places with different points of view, BBC, I would also read the original document,(as stated in the previous post) if you want the entire truth, then you can decide for yourself..be warned,,it isn't short, and from my point of view, gives the Attorney Genreral too much power, I don't like them having the ability to check the library computer that I use,(it is in the patriot act) but that is my opinion, fomulate your own..Stuart--- and good luck, if you really want to know the truth, you will have to seek it out..It will not come easy...believe me. Stuart:)
