Does anyone know if AMC still plays pre-1950 Noveltoons as fillers after their movies? I know I've seen "Campus Capers" with Herman the Mouse on the network, with its original titles. Any chance that they still do it?

Now that AMC shows commercial's non-stop. AMC doesn't show cartoons that much anymore, since they sold out to their loyal viewers.

My uncle showed me a tape from a few years back of Sherlock, Jr. (The Buster Keaton film where he walks into a movie) that was recorded on AMC.

Right after the film (which was only 45 min.) Madhattan Serenade came on with ORIGINAL Noveltoon titles!

It appeared to be restored since the print seemed to be in perfect condition (and was IB Technicolor since the reel change marker at the end was GREEN)

Ah....the days when AMC would show silents and cartoons....

TCM has thankfully picked up the task of showing the silents AMC has now rejected.

TCM was showing silent films even back when AMC was regularly showing silents.
