138 people...whew! :p Think we'll ever reach 150 or even - dare I say - the 200 mark?

I think it's likely that we will see a more permanent record after JL. Samurai Jack gave us relatively high numbers, so I think that JL will definitely throw the record over 150, probably into a high range that it will take some time to beat just like the SJ record. It will be very interesting to see how many visitors, and how many repeat visitors, we get as a result of the JL premiere.

Right on, Joe Tully!

Samurai Jack had a high number of posts the night it premiered. I would expect the record to be broken Friday.

COOL! I wasn't here when it happened, so I guess I don't get a t-shirt this time, but here's to 150!!! It's awesome this site is getting more attention!

I agree with Tully. The fact that we're making ourselves known as a major JL information site is definatly gonna boast this site. I'm predicting a huge turn out on the JL Boards in the enxt following weeks as people find these boards and this site.

Saturday night's gonna be crazy. I'll be on right when the show finishes up for sure, as I'm sure many others will be too...

You get a T-shirt if you were one of the posters? How do I know if I was one of the ones that posted? I would wear a Toonzone shirt everyday! How does this all work out. (someone sedates duncanzits with a tranquilizer). Ahhh..that's much better.

I thought the JL premeire was Friday like Samarai Jack! Silly me! :p

Yes, it was a joke.

Yeah, it's just a phrase. T Shirts are often used to mark a momentous occasion, so it was a bit of a joke, a way of saying I missed out on a momentous occasion cuz I wasn't on line when the record was broken! Sorry for any confusion!

It's alright, I didn't think their was any prize until I was confused. Who can ever forget the traditional wedding or graduation T-shirt!

Wow the record was broken again! 144 users! I guess Justice League did it! :D

I expected that JL would be enough to bring just about everybody online.

Joe Tully

I was hoping for higher than that but I guess SJ got us more of a boost due to more hype. I hope that they start showing more JL ads that show action from the eps. instead of just the images of Supes or Bats. Judging from the ads for Monday's ep, this will be the case for further ads.

We got up around 140 again after the show ended in the central time zone. There should be another boost when it's over in the pacific.

I expect that once the CNX: Toonami board moves over here in December, we'll move well past 144.

I expect Toonzone to be the biggest cartoon site on the web, once they have Toonami and Adult Swim sections.

Well, we host a Toonami site already, called CNX: Toonami Revolution (http://cnx.toonzone.net), probably the most respected and most popular Toonami site on the web. As Brian said, the board will move here in December. There is also a new Adult Swim site and board in development, which will be arriving at Toon Zone shortly. Stay tuned or stay tooned (hehe...get it?)!

Oh, and to clear up any misconceptions, we are Toon Zone, not Toonzone or ToonZone. It's a common misconception. :p

Yeah, I know. But the webmasters had noticed it and pointed it out to the staff, so, I thought I'd just mention it. No big deal really.

I think it's exciting to see more and more new people here, especially at once. I think this is a great place for fans to come, visit, and talk - and O hope more fans check it out. I think as the enw season of CN and KWB progresses - we'll see that! *crosses fingers*

There it goes again! 160! And at 10:00am no less.

Edit: The record has been broken again about 10 times in that 30 minutes. It's at 183 right now. How high will we go??

James Harvey

I think that the attention the widescreen newspost has brought is partially responsible. I went to a couple sites today and saw that they all mentioned the whole widescreen thing. www.comics2film.com and www.anotheruniverse.com/buzz both had it featured, as did www.darkhorizons.com/news.htm

This is great, hunh? Hmmm...200 by tonite?

Brian Cruz

Cool, that explains it. We'll probably set a record in hits today. But how come all those sites called us Toonzone? It's Toon Zone darn it!

Most users ever online was 183 on 11-19-2001 at 11:43 AM.

WOW again! It seems like I've been offline the past few times the records' been broken but if we are getting that kind of number in the day time, when traffic is slower, what will we see tonight???

Good thing they got that new server when they did!

Singin' Stray Cat
11-19-2001, 07:53 PM
183??

At first I was just kidding about reaching 200, but after seeing that number, looks like it could happen.

This is also the first day I've repeatedly seen over 100 people on the boards. Yep, you guys DID get that new server in time!

Man ever since JL started, numbers have been skyrocketing!
