I don't know anything about a Jurassic Park 4, but I do know this: if it's coming, Spielberg is DEFINATELY not going to be the director.

Spielberg will be on board as an executive producer and possibly a co-writer, because it was apparently him who came up with the story idea for JP4, saying it would be the last and final JP movie and because of that, he wanted to come up with "a really cool concept," which he supposedly has. Last I heard, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum were both signed to return, and there was even a rumor that Keira Knightley was being considered, though hopefully not for a recasting of Lex from the first film as some rumors suggested. After JP3, I was hoping Joe Johnston would return to direct, but the rumors say he probably won't. :( Too bad. JP3 is my favorite. In any event, I'm looking forward to JP4 if it ever gets made (shooting was supposed to start in January 2005, but I don't think they're going to make that start date).

A review of Jurassic Park 4 script is already online. It starts off with an attack at a little league game with pteradons. It also involves them going back to the first island to look for the lost shaving cream can. Also, no Malcolm, no Grant, but yes to Hammond. Then the plot gets really crazy. Enjoy.

You may be wrong. From what I hear it's him and a reuniting of Sam Niel and Jeff Goldblume.

One of the more reliable news sources for JP.

Oh man. If that John Sayles script mentioned there is the real deal, I hope Universal asks for another screenwriter when it's complete. What a crappy idea that script sounds like.

God... this may be the worst movie in the entire world...

So dinosaurs have somehow escaped from the island and are terrorizing things all over the world. To solve the problem an FBI agent needs to get DNA to make super dinosaurs to get rid of the old ones and just ... read this...:

Nick is put in charge of training these five dinosaurs, X1 through X5, and the first thing he does is name them. “Any soldier worth his pay has a name to answer to, not a number,” he says. So we are introduced to Achilles, Hector, Perseus, Orestes, and Spartacus, each of them a specially created deinonychus, which is sort of like a miniature T-rex. They have super-sensitive smell and hearing, incredible strength and speed and pack-hunting instincts, and they have modified forelegs, lengthened and topped with more dextrous fingers, as well as dog DNA for increased obedience and human DNA so they can solve problems well. All of this is topped off with a drug-regulating implant that can dose them with adrenaline or serotonin as the situation demands.

I sensed this would happen after the success of the third one. It's just another gear in the sequel train that's slowly been rolling since 2001, in which Hollywood creates a sequel to just about every successful movie from the past seven years. Argh.

The Jem'Hadar anyone?

I bet that story's a fake. It's too stupid to be real.

He trains a squad of killer dinos to wipe out the others? How did all of the dinos even get off the island?

This is just lunacy.

WTF!? Oookay. As fan fiction it sounds like fun; as a parody it sounds GREAT but as an actual movie??? Yeah, unless they can find a really interesting way to handle it, very very very stupid.

And people thought I was nuts when I wrote a Freakazoid/Van Helsing crossover!

If that's true, a small part of me thinks it would just be beyond cool to see that. However, the rest of me, the intelligent adult in me, wants to hurt something. That's just...too weird. Really, really weird.

It's Dinotopia meets A-Team

with just a pinch of Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters

I'm curious on just how bad it will get...it sounds fake

They already had a series of figures when JPII was released that had Mutant Dinosaurs, Ultramosaurus was the big one, a Triceratops mixed with a Tyrannosaurus mixed with an Ankylosaurus. It was really really cool looking, but the other figures were a Parasaurolophus mixed with a Raptor in a neon green and purple color and there was another figure thatw as a Velociropterix which was a Raptor mixed with a Archyopterix...

oh and FYI a deinonychus is what the "Raptors" in jurassic park were based on, an actual Velociraptor was the size of a medium sized dog...

Jurassic Park isn't all paleoithicly correct

However it would be really cool if they had Mammoths and Sabertooths in the next one...
