It’s a time of challenge for young Bruce Wayne, heir and CEO of Wayne Industries by day, caped vigilante by night. The Batman has patrolled Gotham’s streets for three years, and, though he’s still an urban legend to most citizens, he’s made a dent in crime. But now Gotham’s attracted a new class of villains like the Joker, Penguin, Man-Bat, Bane and Catwoman. And a young detective of the Gotham P.D. is determined to restore the force’s reputation and unmask the vigilante!

In this debut issue, when the vengeful Penguin pulls a heist that could reveal Wayne’s secret and destroy vast portions of the city, the Batman will have to use every resource at his disposal!

I just flipped through it - Bruce's "these axes are sweet" line describing the museum guitars was definitely cringe-inducing, but the rest of it didn't seem too bad, and at least you can get through it quickly. Bruce does seem more hyperactive than in other Batman incarnations, and Alfred is more like an admonishing father than a gentleman's gentleman. The art was good - this new-look Batman is growing on me, but the new Penguin is annoying and definitely needs a fist in the face.

I liked the Cover Art better than I liked the Issue.

This comic was pretty good. I'm getting into this cartoon and decided to pick up the free comic today and the issue was pretty good. It wasn't great and had some problems but it was a good read for a free comic. It does seem weird to see Bruce to hip here but this version is embracing his lighter side which I have no problem with.

I really liked the artwork. It looked really well done and looked really close to the animated series. It's not dead on but it gives the artist a bit more freedom to include his own style. I may have topick up some new issues to see if his work has evolved since the comic started. The cover art was really nice and looked darker and more intense than what I see on the show.
