Anyone notice the Batman/Superman marathon on Boomerang last weekend? Darn, I wish I got that channel. :(

This was probably the old Filmation cartoons from the 60s. Still, I used to like that stuff when it ran on CN, esp. when we got to see something like a Flash cartoon, which was rarer. The name of that show can be confusing since I think it was called the Superman/Batman Adventures, which was very similar to the 90s show "The Batman/Superman Adventures"

Yeah, I wish I had it too.

ya, I just got a dish on the 10th, just in time for the marathon.

It was kind of a dissappointment, tho, b/c there were more Wonder Twins (ugh!) than anything, and in the few Batman shows that there were, there were no Eogues gallery except one riddler ep. No catwoman, no Joker, no Batgirl, no nothing!!!

Oh, and there was wayyy too much Superboy--way boring!~ i wanted to see some old Batmans, not Wondy's little cousins and Superbman's past!!!

Ohhhhh... I thought it was the contemporary series. Now I feel much better. :) It's just that Boomerang sometimes airs contemporary stuff too. (SWAT Kats, for example)

Hello All,

Yes, there were too many Wonder Twins eps for most everyones taste..but they did play alot of the Challenge of the Superfriends..which are my favorites of all the different versions of the Superfriends.

I also agree..way too much Superboy

Can anyone tell me if there is a such thing as a Kryptonian trance that Superman can place himself under when exposed to extreme amounts of Krytonite?

In " Death of Superman" of the Galactic Guardians eps..he does this when he becomes over exposed to Krytonite..I couldn't stop laughing when that was said by the Superman robot at the Fortress of Solitude when the rest of the Superfriends went there to "put his house in order" after his death.

Anyway.. I was able to get quite a few eps in sp for my collection as I taped pretty much all of them including the old Filmation ones
and I have alot of people that have contacted me regarding trades so that is a good thing..but I feel it should not have been called a Superfriends marathon because the Filmation eps are not Superfriends..and also it was 48 hours of two different 4 hour blocks repeated three times a day.

Only 4 more days till Justice League!!!!!!!

BOOMERANG is for the early 60s programming from hanna Barbara, most of it from the 60s and before. Any Batman/Superman episodes would have been the Filmation ones.

There were a few good ones in the marathon. There was a Legion of Doom ep (despite the corniness of the show, those Legion of Doom episodes rocked), and one where they fought Lex Luthor alone. But my personal fave out of the ones they showed was the one with the Earth spinning towards the sun. Yeah, it was corny 'cause it had Wendy and Marvin, but they called in the Flash, and I think it's so cool that they had him on reserve basis.

Also liked the Flash ep, except for the end line: "Yes...a little ant, with big dreams." Ugh.

Did you also happen to see the 1973 episode with Green Arrow? If I remember it correctly..Wendy and Marvin called Green Arrow for help because the rest of the Superfriends had been shrunken and placed in jars.

When was the last time you saw any episodes with Green Arrow?I think that is the only one that I can recall.

I have to say that the Filamation Teen Titans eps were really lame...in order for them to sound more like teenagers and not the adults..they would use terms like "Flasheroo" and "Daddio" but I would have to say that my favorite one was "Wonder Chick" when referring to Wonder Girl

I never saw the Green Arrow episode. I am really hoping we get to see Green Arrow in animated form. He is one of my favorite DC characters (who Marvel blatnantly ripped off with Hawkeye) and I would love to see him in the animated style.

Well, won't Green Arrow be on one of those Batman DTVs? I never saw that episode with him in it, and yeah think he'd work well in animation. I'm not sure how he'd work in JL, though (he's more down-to-Earth than Batman).

If there is a character I'd like to see on the new JL series, it's Green Arrow. He's just gotta be on there!

I think xbuilder (where are you??) did say Green Arrow would be on of them. In the current Smith/Hester storyline, Arrow is given an "animated" feel so I could definatly see him being easily being put into an episode/DTV.
