Second Annual Benefit for the Cartoon Art Museum

Pixar Animation Studios is pleased to host its second annual benefit for the Cartoon Art Museum on Saturday, October 2nd, 2004. Find out how movies really get made at Pixar Animation Studios! This special evening starts with a reception at Pixar's Emeryville campus. Over wine and hors d'oeuvres you will see a stunning gallery exhibition featuring the pre-production artwork for the Walt Disney Pictures presentation of a Pixar Animation Studios film, The Incredibles, opening November 5, 2004. Guests will then be escorted into Pixar's state-of-the-art 240 seat theater to hear the artists and wizards behind Toy Story, Finding Nemo, and The Incredibles share their unique perspectives on the movie-making process. After the presentation, guests will have an opportunity to converse with the speakers and other Pixarians.

Pixar Animation Studios is located at 1200 Park Avenue in Emeryville, CA. Gates open at 5:30pm. Free parking is available on site. Light hors d’oeuvres will be served during the art exhibition viewing from 6-7pm. The presentation will begin promptly at 7pm and will include special guest speakers: Gary Rydstrom, Academy Award®-winning sound designer; Andrew Stanton, Academy Award®- winning writer/director, Finding Nemo; Mark Andrews, Head of Story, The Incredibles; Angus MacLane, animator; and Dr. Michael B. Johnson, Pixar R&D.

A reception including plentiful appetizers, drinks and the opportunity to mix and mingle in Pixar’s magnificent atrium will follow the presentation from 8:30-9:30pm.

This event will sell out quickly and there are only a limited number of seats available. Cartoon Art Museum members can purchase tickets for the reduced rate of $125, while the non-member rate is $175. Save money and become a member of the Cartoon Art Museum today!
