post your faverites here!Actually that never happened http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/outrage/bushwave.htm.
Anyway, one of my favorite Bush-isms is one that I caught myself when I turned on the TV a while back he said "We have rid the world of one of it's most bloodiest tyrants."

Oh for crying out loud.
I know that President Bush has lousy grammar, but devoting a thread just to point out his grammatical errors is both silly and pointless, IMO. Instead of criticitizing something like his grammar, how about discussing the way you don't like how he runs the country?
I personally want Bush re-elected, but if Kerry were to make grammatical errors constantly, I wouldn't make it fun of it, because it's silly. I would rather discuss how I feel about his views, which I don't agree on.
And saying Bush does stupid things is a bit too far. If Kerry did something wrong, I'd call it a mistake or poor judgment. And if you disagree with me, I respect your opinion. And what I have written is merely MY OPINION.

I DO NOT want him re-elected because then we will most likely have a draft and by looking at your profile you are of age to be picked in the draft and be forced to go to a war not worth fighting and put your life on the line. Kerry would fix Bush's problems and probably won't have a draft. I respect your opinion but I think you need to see the bigger picture.

Yeah, God forbid he makes a few grammatical errors when speaking.
If people want to argue against Bush for his policies and war on Iraq, then that's fine, I understand that. Making fun of him for accidentily leaving caps on a pair of binoculars or using poor grammar- especially when his is still better than most in this country- is ridiculous.

also you said he makes a few gramatical errors LOL! My brother has a calender and every day is says a quote from bush...and it was made a while ago, correct me if I'm wrong but 365+ errors is not a few!

Have you seen 'Feirinheight 911' if not go see it and by the end you will probably have a different view on Bush.

Wow...
Just...
I really don't think this thread should stick around.
Armchair moderating, I know, but really, this thing should be killed.
And ElBarto, you spelled "Fahrenheit" incorrectly. Also, citing Michael Moore isn't a good idea. He's occasionally amusing, but more often he has a nasty problem with the truth.

Why, he's always making grammatical errors, he must be an idiot! Again, if you don't like the guy, fine. If you think he is a horrible president and Kerry can do better, fine. But merely using proper grammar does not a good president make, which is why I don't understand why you choose to focus on him saying something grammatically incorrect instead of debating the real issues.

He's a good filmmaker, but like Delthayre said, he ain't Honest Abe.

Jump up and shout "Oh my God! We're at war!" in front of all those kids? Even if he had to excuse himself after having something whispered in his ear surely would have aroused some curiosity and possibly uneasiness. If anything, he was excersizing calmness and composure in the face of a tragedy by quicky finishing up with a group of young children (it wasn't like he was there for hours on end) before excusing himself to talk with his advisors.
Here are some of my favorites.
"I know how hard it is for you to put food on your family." —Greater Nashua, N.H., Jan. 27, 2000
"I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here." —Waco, Texas, Aug. 13, 2002
"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully." —Saginaw, Mich., Sept. 29, 2000
"Rarely is the questioned asked: Is our children learning?" —Florence, S.C., Jan. 11, 2000
"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." —Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004

That is what he should have done...also recently the count of dead soilders in Iraq has reached 1,000...1,000 people died in a war not even worth fighting...it's sad :( and for what? oil? not terrorism thats for sure...Iraq had no terrorists before we attacked...Iraq was not responsible for 9-11...nor the antracs (or how ever you spell that?) the anthracs were sent within the US.

As a Kerry supporter and ardent Democrat on 80% of the issues I have opinions about, I have an opinion that this thread should close.
As Delthayre said, It may be akin to arm chair moderating, but this is going nowhere good. In fact, I see it already devolving.
This is why we had a huge thread about Political discussions on the Cafe forum, and most agreed (if I recall correctly) that political threads were fine so long as the bashing on both sides was kept out and civility was the norm. At least, that's what I was hearing, and what I hoped for.
I may think Bush is pretty dumb in the way he speaks sometimes, but I say some pretty stupid stuff every once in a while too. I say we debate the facts and merits of the candidates policy, not the mistakes they utter in speeches.
We should be smart about politics, not get into namecalling, if only for the fact that it alienates a lot of people from expressing themselves openly in the forums.
Ok, I am off my soap box. Sorry to intrude, I just felt the need to speak up as a forum member, just like others here have so eloquently already.

That is what he should have doneOkay, that's fine that you think he should have done that, but maybe he was trying to think of what to do at that moment? Would you honestly be 100% sure that you would have reacted that way if you were in that situation and had no idea exactly what was going on?
...also recently the count of dead soilders in Iraq has reached 1,000...1,000 people died in a war not even worth fighting...it's sad :(I agree that it is sad that those soldiers sacrificed their lives, and I pray for them and their families often. However, my opinion on whether or not it was worth fight for is obviously different from yours, which I respect. I just don't think it "wasn't worth fighting for."

Iraq produces less oil a day than the oil fields on US soil do; it wouldn't make much of a dent in our possession of oil. Also, how do you know that Iraq wasn't in league with al Qaeda?

I really wanted to run them down....and I really did not want to see their malformed genetals when they stripped naked infront of traffic...
I still want to run them down...but I'd then prefer a Bulldozer or some type of heavy vehicle

Oh, it's ok Czar. I wasn't saying it to anyone in particular, I just think the whole idea of a bashing thread for ANYONE (Nader, Bush, Kerry, Al Sharpton, the Easter Bunny, Santa, Tom Brady) is going to go nowhere good for anyone.
That's all I wanted to say. And like I said, I poke fun at politician's gaffs in my own home with people I love, and I am a Democrat, but the idea of this type of discussion seems like it's more to enrage people than to get chummy with compatriots.
*IE - Dems know what they believe, can go to a Dem board with fellow Dems and have discussions, but this forum is mainly a place for many people to talk about cartoons and the like. So making a thread like this (for either side) seems to be just to poke at people who are of the opposite opinion*

I think I'm the one who started the entire downward spiral of this thread. My apologies to anyone.
And I've heard tons of people telling me that the draft will come back. Just because we're short on soldiers, doesn't mean that the draft is going to come back. And if it did come back, and if I were drafted, I feel it would be my duty to do so, to serve my country in time of need. I may have a few reservations, but I do my best to defend my nation, even if the draft came back. That's how I feel.
I'm really fed up with Bush-bashing. If you don't like Bush, it's okay, but please explain why in terms of policies or ideas, not grammar mistakes or if does something with binoculars.
And I despise Mike Moore. He evades the truth often and he cannot say something logical when he's backed into the corner. He either pulls out his bag of jokes or rhetorical questions.

I agree with the war with Iraq but I'm still not voting for Bush. My qualm isn't the fact that we wanted Saddam out of Iraq but rather the way we handled the war. We should have worked with the U.N. to find a better solution. Bush basically went against the U.N. and made everyone pissed off at the U.S. We could have gotten Sadam out with fewer casualties on both sides with the U.N.'s help. I also don't like that the war was started for political purposes. Bush needed a scapegoat for 9/11. They couldn't find Osama, and they needed Iraq's oil, so they went for Saddam. Yes, the U.S. has many oil reserves, but we're prohibited from drilling in wildlife preserves for good reasons. If Bush actually helped to fund research on alternative sources of energy like he promised in his state of the union address then we wouldn't need to rely so much on oil period.
Besides, even if you think Bush is doing a good job with Iraq you still have to admit that he screws the middle class. I mean, let's face it, the economy sucks. And giving tax breaks to the rich isn't going to help anybody but the rich.
