I'm not sure if this was discussed already, but will any of Batman's allies from Gotham and Bludhaven be making any appearences (i.e. Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, etc.)? Please, no spoilers.

Timm said that there will be no supporting characters for the first season. Then again, he's said many things which in turn have turned out to be false. There's a super slim chance.

OOOH, a Batgirl/Hawkgirl team-up would just be to die for!!!!
Still, I would settle for Batman talking to batgirl over an earpiece or something if she is bck at the cave.
Still, I do agree that it is best not to put in any supporting characters for the first season, at least so we can get the main 7 characters established (altho w/ Bman and Supes already 'established', it wouldnt hurt to see a bit of Batgirl, Robin, or even Lois:rolleyes:

Hmmm... actually, I think it may be Dini who's the big fibby boy, especially when he insisted over and over and over that the Joker was gone in Batman Beyond's time. Still, all that fibbing gives us nice surprises...

The show seems to have Batman/Bruce Wayne all over it--recent previews say that the Watchtower was created solely by Wayne Enterprises.
Nightwing, Batgirl, and Robin are bound to make cameos at some point. Maybe they'll have Batgirl "appear" as her other alterego Oracle.

lol, nooooo, b/c this is animated continuity!!!!
jeez, i wish pppl would learn not to mix continuities!!!!

Nightwing

Hey now, we mixed continuities and got The New Batman/Superman Adventures remember. :) I suppose it could work, although I don't think I'd want to see my Barb not in the mask. And come to think of it, I'm sure some censors somewhere down the line might not want it either, even though CN gives their shows a bit more freedom.
I'd like to see Nightwing in JL, but as long as it's as per his character, meaning in the episode they'd show a little tension between him and Batman. That'd rule. Maybe something could be set in Bludhaven. Batman goes, because his cape and cowl have some stake in it (maybe the Joker's involved, and that's why, for exmaple) but it turns out to be a bigger threat that needs full JL attention.

I wouldnt want to see Oracle because it'd mean Barbra wasn't Batgirl anymore, crippled and replaced which really bugs me in the comics.
Though what you *could* do is a funny nod to that by having Batgirl doing work from Bat-Computer and using the codename Oracle. ;p

That's what I was implying. I don't want the animated Barbara Gordon injured as much as the rest of you.
The League may need an extra computer expert at some point--Barbara can have two costumed identities.

I'd just like to see Batman in the cave once or twice with Robin in the backround (hey..I need some new avatar pics.. )
but, I doubt if it will happen....hopefully the DTV/DTDVD's will have Robin in it.. :)

I've seen the first movie/first episodes and let me tell you, that guest stars probably won't happen too soon. The pilot really puts in place a lot of orgin telling and a lot of character chemistry that will be played off of. "Secret Orgins" really focuses on Marvin Manhunter's orgin and skims the rest. There are so many characters I think there will be a round robin of episodes based on each hero. That's just my thought though.

I think that if we can see the Green Lantern Corps then it really wouldnt take much away to see the Gotham Knights.
I hope that in the second season at least the loyal bat-cadets can make an appearance. Maybe something happens to Batman and the JL has to call them in for help.

Am I the only one who was bothered by the pilot pretty much comming out & saying that Bruce Wayne is Batman....
In the comic, both he & Clark kept their identities from the rest of the league for a fairly long time before it was found out who they were. I think Batman even got kicked out because of it..not sure.

In the pilot, only SUPERMAN knew that Batman was Bruce Wayne. He said it out of earshot of the other heroes...

yup, they know each other from World's Finest. I hope to god we see Nightwing, and I also hope they don't do anything to Barbara; i like the way things are going in the animated series better than the comics.

Yeah, but didn't they say that the watch tower was built by Wayne, and imply that it was Batman's doing?

I believe Superman was speaking to Batman alone, they were having a one-to-one conversation. Then everyone else came up in the elevevator, with Flash commenting on a "fully stocked fridge." I don't think the rest of JL knows Batman is Bruce Wayne.

Batman and Superman were alone when they were speaking on the Watchtower. The rest of the JL does not know Batman's identity or Superman's. As for guest heroes, I don't think we need to see any more. We already have 7 major heroes in the show that need the spotlight. Plus I think it would be too hard to fit Nightwing,Robin, and Batgirl into a JL story.

My biggest wish for this show is to see Dick Grayson again, but that probably won't happen. If the creators want to be realistic, they should focus more on character development of the current 7 heroes, which pretty much leaves no room for the bat-team etc.

I WANNA SEE BATGIRL!
in the Joker ep batman could get kidnapped, and who else knows the joker better than batman? my Babs! JL could call on her for aid in finding Bruce, only to find out he had everything under control the whole time ;)

I wouldn't expect the Bat team to be showcasing an episode, I'm at least hoping for an appearance or even supplimental help. At the very least, hear Babs on Batman's communicator. Shoot, if Aquaman can showcase a two-parter, why not have some of the Bat team make an appearance? I'd look forward to seeing Nightwing if any. (crossing my fingers)

I would rather see Batgirl , Robin, Nightwin, or Alfred dancing around acting crazy than Superman or the droll writing of these Justice League episodes. I am seriously dissappointed. I am hoping that the episode that features the Injustice Gang will want me to continue watching. Or maybe if they got some continuity with their own episodes.

After looking over these posts, I have a question: What about Babs solely as Oracle in addition to the NEW Batgirl?
Before the flames rise (already stocked up on roasted Stay-pufts on the Adult Swim board ;) ) let me defend myself. Now, maybe I am alone here, but in the books (Birds of Prey, Batgirl, Batman, Batgrinch, etc) Babs seems to have settled into her behind the scenes role pretty well. And, in the PC world that is American TV, a wheelchair would not necessarily keep her out of action. If anything, it should really get viewers' blood up to see her in danger.
Besides, Cassandra Batgirl would seem to be a perfect fit with this team. Convoluted plotlines, confusing histories, and a lack of intelligible dialogue? Sounds like a winner! Then, when Supes gets knocked on his butt for the fifth time in an ep, BG could finish knocking him out and Babs could roll over him to keep him quiet! :D
YES! Draft em both!
Oh, and draft Plastic Man too!
Audi!
