Plot: It's duck season, so Daffy plays hunter Elmer and a hungry fox off against each other.
Grade: B+
Comments and Observations:
1. What Makes Daffy Duck? Throw a rock at him! Okay, all joking aside, this is an excellent cartoon. I love how Daffy shoots off his mouth in just about every scene. How screwy, off-the-wall, and obnoxious he is. THIS is the Daffy Duck know and love! Not the later version.
2. Note Daffy's mention of Warner Bros. In the scene with the "imposter".
3. The classic "change season signs' first shows up at the end of the cartoon. Later used in Rabbit Fire.
4. Favorite Lines: Elmer: How am I supposed to catch that scwewy duck? Daffy: That's what I was wondering, my little nimrod!
Technical Information: Made in 1948, directed by Arthur Davis.
